This deck is for casual multiplayer and generates quite a bit of hate. I stopped playing it because of how much hate it generates. The key card is of course Tamanoa and her interactions with the rest of the deck. The main synergies are:
Manabarbs
+
Tamanoa
: Punishes everyone else but does not hurt you. Also any pain lands you have are mitigated by
Tamanoa.
Pyrohemia
+
Tamanoa
: Repeatable lifegain and global damage with a limit of
Tamanoa's toughness. Bu that is why
Crimson Acolyte
is in the deck. The acolyte is immune to any red damage you produce and can protect your
Tamanoa as well.
Grove of the Burnwillows + Punishing Fire
: This engine is amazing, and is in color for the deck. Makes your
Punishing Fire a weak repeatable
Lightning Helix.
Lightning Bolt
+
Tamanoa
: Does make your bolts a lightning helix.
Beacon of Destruction
+
Tamanoa
: Makes your beacons a huge lightning helix and can come back for more.
Fiery Justice
+
Tamanoa
: Pinpoint removal with more lifegain. Giving up the life to an opponent does not hurt much given all the other damage sources in the deck.
Scourge of Kher Ridges: On it's own the Scourge is a big body with evasion, Can throw repeatable limited
Pyroclasms or limited repeatable
Volley of Boulders
. In a multiplayer environment this card can be great. Because of all the burn in the deck the scourge is an alt-win con on it's own as well.
Flame Rift
+
Tamanoa
or
Sizzle
+
Tamanoa
: These are just more sources of big swings in life and damage at a big multiplayer table.
Browbeat
+
Tamanoa
: Lastly,
Browbeat is excellent card advantage but with
Tamanoa in play your opponent's choice is even worse. This deck puts out so much damage and gains so much life that you will be immediately Enemy Number 1 at the table. But it is fun playing until you do get killed out. I Appreciate any suggestions, this deck is very old and I am considering dusting it off and adding in any new cards that would help make it even better.
Found this card; Treasonous Ogre. It can go infinite in the right kind of deck. Check it out here: Infinite Treason.
