Tana and Tymna Pod shell

Commander / EDH*

CrassiusCurio

Sideboard

Maybeboard

This is the shell for a Tana/Tymna Pod deck, that you can cram any number of packages and plans into. This main group is missing 5-10 lands, and is running all ten fetches and all six shocklands- depending on build and colour balance 2-3 shocks and 1-2 fetches can be removed, and painlands, fastlands, Horizon Camopy, Grove of the Burnwillows, and basics can be slotted in at will. This shell is the stuff you will basically run in any version of this deck. The only reason not to to run these is budget or some weird hyper-meta reason like you play multiple Ruric Thar Strangehold decks a lot and so you can never use your tutors or something like that. These are the most versatile, powerful, and efficient cards in the colours, and running without these things is basically a self-imposed handicap. You have the basic Kiki combo, lands, the dorks, the best rocks for mana and ramp. The best Black tutors, Enlightened for Pod, Worldly for combo creatures, Sylvan Library because its the best card advantage in your colours. Dark Confidant might well be considered for the shell, but some of the midrangier versions take a beating from him, so I left him out. consider him an honourary member of the shell, though. If you can keep your average CMC below 3, I'd probably still run him.

The sideboard is a fairly basic utility hatebear/stax package. Gaddock Teeg is bad, I don't like it. I'm a fan of the fliers like Kinjalli Sunwing and Vryn Wingmare, but the higher drops hatebears like those are very much personal calls. It should be noted Hushwing Gryff is pretty good, but be aware it shuts off our own combos, so I don't personally run it. You're still 15-20 cards shy of a full deck with this package.

The maybeboard is a bulkier, midrangier redundant combo and midrange package with big beatsticks, card advantage, and a couple of Hulk and Razaketh combos. Infinite life, infinite mana, compact wins. The best think about the Rallier+Saffi and Melira+Finks combos is that the cards are individually quite strong. You're 10+ cards shy of a full deck with this whole mess of cards.

The Acquireboard is a junky land-based disruption/reanimation package with a Doubling Season and some Planeswalkers thrown in for giggles. This is kinda what passes for stax in worse pods. This is mainly here to show that you can skew pretty far down the power level chart and still have something that plays BASICALLY the same kind of grindy midrange game. A lot of people at this power level don't like land destruction, but eh. Maybe its a learning experience? This is actually exactly 100 cards. Somebody run this exact list and tell me how it goes.
