Maybeboard

Land (2)

So this is a little lovechild of mine. It is loosely inspired by the good old stax decks with a dash of proliferate and graveyard shenanigans.

The aim of this deck is to create an asymmetrical game by keeping my opponents constantly tapped out without having to worry too much about it myself.

I achieve this by the help of Tangle Wire. Alone it taps down 10 permanents for the opponents while only 3 for myself (not including Tangle Wire itself]]. With the help of proliferate I'm able to keep Tangle Wire on the board long enough for me to get either my next Tangle Wire, a Smokestack, Phyrexian Metamorph or Tezzeret the Seeker .

After I have achieved a lock on my opponents I have all the time in the world to set up for the kill. Which I achieve with Myr Battlesphere, Tezzeret the Seeker 's ultimate or making the opponent concede in frustration, not being allowed to play MTG but instead Crazy Eights dropping one card each turn.

You can find full breakdown of the cards and their use below.

Everflowing Chalice, works as a mana accelerator with proliferate and allowing me to use more lands as cannon fodder for Tangle Wire.

Ichor Wellspring is cannon fodder for Throne of Geth and very helpful in exchanges with Goblin Welder.

Mycosynth Wellspring does the same as Ichor Wellspring

Myr Turbine provides cannon fodder for Smokestack and [[Tangle wire, blockers, a tutor for Myr Battlesphere and when the battlesphere is out more myrs to tap for the battlesphere.

Prototype Portal does anything involving artifacts. Imprinting artifact lands, creatures, Tangle Wire, you name it.

Smokestack with the help of proliferate this artifact becomes menacing, especially if I'm able to exchange him with the help of Goblin Welder or sac him to Throne of Geth .

Tangle Wire The keypiece of this deck. Without it this deck doesn't do much. Could probably modify it slightly to achieve greater consistency.

Throne of Geth is a great way source of proliferate and an enabler for Goblin Welder to work his magic. It's allows me to get rid of Tangle Wire and Smokestack who has too many stacks for me to be comfortable with before it's my upkeep.

Goblin Welder one of my all time favorite creature. He allows me the exchange whatever artifact is on the battlefield with whatever is in the graveyard. It's also a huge help against other artifact decks making them cry when I exchange their key pieces with something else.

Myr Battlesphere, my win-con. Ends the game quicker and provide some cannon fodder, nothing more to say

Myr Retriever Best cannon fodder one can ask for. It's a cheap blocker that will give you a card back from graveyard, best of all is that it combos with itself.

Perilous Myr, cutest myr ever made. It's like a Goblin Arsonist except it's a myr, which makes it infinitely better, because lets face it, myrs are awesome. Discourages early aggro, allows me to pick off pesky wheenies and other annoying creature, otherwise it helps on killing the opponent.

Phyrexian Metamorph, serves as a wild card doing whatever is needed at the time. The reason I'm running this and not Sculpting Steel is that it is more versatile and can become a creature as well for the small cost of two more life.

Thrummingbird helps me controlling the field with his proliferate. It's also a 1/1 flier for two CMC, making it pretty hard to counter if I get it down before Tangle Wire.

Ral Zarek , all his abilities helps me in some way. +1 for more flexibility, -2 for killing things, -7 for most likely infinite turns.

Tezzeret the Seeker , Mostly there for -x, tutoring for whatever artifact I need, otherwise his +1 helps a lot in games where I need to get the Tangle Wire count high. -5 serves also as a finisher if opponent is completely locked out.

I'm open for suggestion for this deck, but keep in mind this deck is mostly for casual play and for times when I get annoyed at people who doesn't do their three first phases right.
