Finally Did It! —Feb. 26, 2015

Broke the 100 upvote barrier today! This was my very first MDN deck, period. It was a homebrew and created just for fun, I don't think I could ever purchase it :( But it has seen the favor of the community and reached an astounding 100 upvotes! I couldn't thank you guys more! (Unless of course people started offering to trade me the decklist:)

BEST. DECK. EVER!!!! I playtested once, got infinite mana T4, and cast Bonfire of the Damned . Definitely playtesting again to see how many combos there are! +1 for sure!!!

Instead of Bonfire of the Damned you could run Comet Storm . Instant speed and less mana intensive (though it doesn't really matter when you have comboed out.)

I actually agree with the instant speed over Bonfire. There will more than likely come a time when you need to combo off at instant speed and it'd be nice to have the option. And thanks for the love, home skillet. :) lol

OMG, yeah Banefire is freakin nuts. I must have overlooked that in your sideboard. I hope they reprint that card in Khans, it has Sarkhan Vol/Dragon written all over it. :P

Actually Banefire can be redirected to hit you. Technically, Pyromatics is the best card you can use for the infinite mana strategy. :)

Jdvanliew Regardless of the instant or sorcery situation. Banefire can be Swerve ed or Redirect ed at you for a loss. Thats why Pyromatics is strictly better for using with infinite mana. I run Banefire myself because usually I am pulling it with Staff of Domination and can either counter it if my opponent tries to deflect it at me. Since you're not running any counterspells...its a mild concern. No one likes having their wincon turned against them. :)

Gotcha! :) Just something to think about. Most people don't run either of those cards, but something like Spellskite is a sideboard staple of the format, and could be trouble.

They can only counter one. Thats why its better. Infinite replications. Can't stop em all.

August 8, 2014 1:35 p.m.

Yes you can replicate it X number of times and they can only target one of them with a counterspell. UNLESS they use Mindbreak Trap or Counterflux , both of which I believe are used with significant frequency to be worried about them. Ofc, if they do that, there's not much you can do about it anyway lol.

If you already have infinite creatures with haste there is no need to burn them anyway. The assumption would be you're casting the burnspell because thats the wincon thats available to you at the moment.
