Sure. Modern being a "Turn 4" format generally means that barring interference from your opponent, most "competitive" decks should be able to consistently "go off" (do whatever it is they are supposed to do to win) by Turn 4. So generally you want to be at least 50% of the time going off by Turn 4.
I hear what you're saying about Drift...yes it is harder to cast than Idyllic but it is also more versatile, not only as a tutor, but also as being both a Defender (useful in your infinite mana combo with Staff) as well as a more effective tutor. (It can get you Staff of Domination as well as all of your enchantment cards except for Splinter Twin.)
Having less of your combo cards does not make you any less vulnerable to Pithing Needle or Surgical Extraction etc. but it DOES make you much less consistently able to get your combo off. Additionally you will need at least something to deal with those kind of threats to your combo. (Either counter spells or some permanent removal of your own.)
Personally, if this is just for your own entertainment with your friends and kitchen table stuff, than fine. Its a deck for fun and enjoy it especially if you have fun playing it and its working for you in your playgroup. But if you want the deck to be competitive within the format for FNM or something like that, then I think it would be helpful to commit to one combo and stick with it. Supplement with cards that will protect that combo from popular disruption methods and have a couple of ways you can win quickly even without the combo going off.
Hope this helps!

Watch out for Maelstrom Pulse and Sever the Bloodline when it comes to your infinite tokens! But, hey, that's what Fervor is for, right? Lol. Great deck though, I love all the combos in it. On paper it seems like you would have a tough time pulling these combos off, but from what I gather it's actually pretty straightforward and easy with Axebane Guardian . Well done, I don't really have too much to offer in the way of improvement.

BEST. DECK. EVER!!!! I playtested once, got infinite mana T4, and cast Bonfire of the Damned . Definitely playtesting again to see how many combos there are! +1 for sure!!!

Instead of Bonfire of the Damned you could run Comet Storm . Instant speed and less mana intensive (though it doesn't really matter when you have comboed out.)

I actually agree with the instant speed over Bonfire. There will more than likely come a time when you need to combo off at instant speed and it'd be nice to have the option. And thanks for the love, home skillet. :) lol

OMG, yeah Banefire is freakin nuts. I must have overlooked that in your sideboard. I hope they reprint that card in Khans, it has Sarkhan Vol/Dragon written all over it. :P

Actually Banefire can be redirected to hit you. Technically, Pyromatics is the best card you can use for the infinite mana strategy. :)

Jdvanliew Regardless of the instant or sorcery situation. Banefire can be Swerve ed or Redirect ed at you for a loss. Thats why Pyromatics is strictly better for using with infinite mana. I run Banefire myself because usually I am pulling it with Staff of Domination and can either counter it if my opponent tries to deflect it at me. Since you're not running any counterspells...its a mild concern. No one likes having their wincon turned against them. :)

Gotcha! :) Just something to think about. Most people don't run either of those cards, but something like Spellskite is a sideboard staple of the format, and could be trouble.

Why only 2OFs for each of your primary combo pieces? Modern is a Turn 4 format and this seems unrealistically slow. Additionally outside of Boros Charm what is protecting you combo from format staples like Path to Exile or Oblivion Ring ?
I would drop Idyllic Tutor entirely in favor of giving yourself 4OFs of each of your primary combo enablers. Drop two of your Overgrown Battlement or Sylvan Caryatid for Drift of Phantasms so they can either be defenders or tutors for your combo pieces.
