TaTy started as a shameless budget version of Blood Pod, but it slowly mutated into something else as I realized that Bloodpod's brand of stax doesn't really work well in casual groups, where consistent fast combo doesn't really exist, fetches are for rich people and everyone has some bodies on the board.

The main idea is that you have two very consistent creatures on the command zone. Tana, the Bloodsower is a token factory that wants to attack every turn and Tymna the Weaver is a draw engine that gives you tons of cards every turn as long as you are attacking all opponents. The two work marvelously off of one another.

The creature suite is mostly composed of utility creatures that either disrupt the enemy gameplan like Scavenging Ooze and Manglehorn , or make it harder to block you like Ankle Shanker and Iroas, God of Victory . We also have a few big beaters, like Ruric Thar, the Unbowed and Razaketh, the Foulblooded and a few reanimation spells to bring them up early. While all that is mostly meant as a way to fuel Tymna draws, if all else fails we can beef up our board with Beastmaster Ascension , Mirror Entity or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and kill with combat damage.

What are we drawing into? Good question. This deck aims to combo out with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker plus either Village Bell-Ringer or Felidar Guardian , while maintaining a strong board presence before you can combo.

The Kiki Loop works as follows: 1 - Tap Kiki-Jiki to Create a hasted token copy of a creature that either untaps or flickers other creatures when they ETB. 2 - Use the ETB trigger of the token to untap/flicker Kiki-Jiki. You can repeat steps 1 and 2 as many times you want to create an arbitrarily large number of haste tokens. 3 - Attack with the haste tokens to kill the whole table.

The main and fastest way of getting the combo is to Buried Alive Kiki-Jiki, one of the untappers and Karmic Guide , and then use a reanimation spell on Karmic Guide. Use Karmic Guide's ETB trigger to reanimate Kiki-Jiki, then use Kiki's ability to create a token copy of Karmic Guide. Use the Token ETB trigger to reanimate the untapper, so you can untap Kiki-Jiki. Proceed to Kiki Loop. This can be done as early as turn 2.

Other ways of tutoring the combo include Birthing Pod , Yisan, the Wanderer Bard and Razaketh. Splinter Twin is there as redundancy in case Kiki gets exiled. Keep in mind that Felidar guardian can't really combo with Splinter twin, while Bell-ringer doesn't allow Birthing Pod to tutor twice in a turn.

+1 Loyal Apprentice -1 Skullclamp

Skullclamp is only good when you can produce a bunch of tokens. Currently, we almost never swing with Tana, we have no other token producers, and our best play with skullclamp is clampping our mana dorks. I'm swapping it for another hard to block creature.
