Hi, dragons&goblins85 here,

I agree with everything you've said about Oloro. Control is so much fun to play around with and he is about the best control commander to have and probably the strongest. I was lucky to pick him up at my local game store. He's so hard to find, but one day he happened to be in the stores book. I bought him in heartbeat!

+1 Upvote! Strong Deck and AWESOME COMMANDER!This deck has its own uniqueness to it; that i like.

Suggestion:

If something don't seem to really help or do much after playing it that is in your deck then consider a change. I play test my decks alot after a build, when they seem to play good i'd try it once after i get a feel for it. Thats how i figure out what to change out. My deck goes into play testing again afterwards until it i get a feel for its new changes then try it once again if needed.

Check my Oloro deck out?:

I built my own unique Oloro Conrtol/Mill deck that i'd like you to take a look at. It's my #1 favorite deck i've ever built. Don't plan on ever changing it's concept too much. It has a little similar in Strategy as yours i think but different. Start off by controlling the board and constantly gain life each turn then as then game progresses the mana starts to fill up the board and then milling happens and huge creatures and ones with crazy abilities come out to play. I played this deck against a friend at my local game store and slowly but surely did that exact strategy with a win at the end. Check it out, i know it seems like a crazy mixture of strategies but lemme tell you its fun to play with. Winning with it was even more fun.

My deck:

Mill or not to mill, that is the question...

I would add the Enchantment card "Moat" non-flying creatures cannot attack

It's actually not too good here. First, I can't nab it with Zur, since Moat has a CMC of 4, and it forces me to tap mana during my turn. Second, it doesn't really do anything, as Solitary Confinement is just better here. Third, it's also $550, and I don't really have that expendable income right now. Fourth, this isn't actually a pillowfort deck, so Moat is just a card slot taken care of (which, admittedly, I have a few that I could easily change).

I must say Zur the Enchanter is a fantastic toolbox commander! Although my build is a lot cheaper, but no where near as competitive...

Have you considered Island Sanctuary for the deck? Zur can hit it, it does require you to skip your draw step but it also makes it so only flyers and islandwalkers can attack you, they stopped printing landwalk with Magic: Origins so the 30 some creatures with islandwalk are the only ones that can attack you.
