a budget tazri deck, less cash more smash!

has allies in the deck, because allies are what fuel the deck, but like most creature based decks they need evasion, and Steely Resolve brings mass shroud, Boros Charm bringing mass indestructible, and Legion's Initiative brings a mass dodge, while also giving them all their tasty ETBs. other protection is brought by the allies them selves Kabira Evangel and Hero of Goma Fada are amazing when Vedalken Orrery lets you use them on opponents turn, as well as Mimic Vat, Riptide Replicator and Cackling Counterpart.

But, what happens when you can't protect them enough? you have to bring them back! March from the Tomb is a pretty obvious choice, 5 mana for 8 cmc from the graveyard sounds nice. I'd love to have Patriarch's Bidding but, this is a budget deck so we'll have to go somewhere else, that's where Angel of Glory's Rise comes in, with almost half our allies being human she does wonders, but what happens if she falls short? you may need some spot recursion, and Unburial Rites is one of my favorites, especially if you see mill in your play circle.

one of the other culprits of aggro decks falling short is the lack of draw, which we try to fix with Malakir Soothsayer, Sea Gate Loremaster, Staff of Nin, and Distant Melody.

Descendants' Path and Call to the Kindred cheat in free allies, and who wouldn't want that.

To abuse mass ETBs we have Brago, King Eternal, Sudden Disappearance, Wake the Dead, and Legion's Initiative.

some of my favorite combos are

Cryptic Gateway + Quest for Renewal which is good on it's own, but add in Sea Gate Loremaster and it's even better.

Hagra Diabolist + Rite of Replication doing somewhere in the realm of 120 life loss if he's the only ally on the field, potentially more, with Ondu Cleric on the flipside healing you for 120.

last thing but not least, 5 color can be all the easier to run with the introduction of the tri-lands that came with the tarkir sets

any suggestions are welcome, and feel free to try out the decklist yourself

at the time of deck construction i could get all the cards for $85 which is what i would consider budget, among edh decks at least.
