Definitely +1 to Punish the Enemy (sorry for delay work sucks lol) Having a great limited burn spell/spot removal is pretty invaluable in a creature heavy limited setting

This pack is a little weaker for us -- breaking / entering can be great, but it's expensive and sometimes a bust; wear / tear is okay as situational removal, but there are only a few really problematic enchantments in this set. Boros Cluestone will help us ramp and let us stay in white, since all our cluestones white already. Hidden strings is sort of like ramp, and is a decent trick for pushing a little damage through.
then again, breaking / entering does count as 8 damage when discarded to blast of genius . . .

Eh. We've already got a lot of 6 CMC items or better in our deck for Blast. It is already going to do some serious work for us.
I like the Maze Abomination, but it totally blows for our curve. Hidden Strings or the Lyev's Decree help us stall the game until late game and might make a better fit for our final results.
I'm equally torn between Maze Abomination and Hidden Strings.

I'm in for breaking//entering. 8 mana in limited isn't unheard of, especially if we are serious about the clue stones. Then again it doesn't have to be an 8 drop or even a 6 drop. For 2 mana we can get rid of 20% of their library. If we can make the six drop happen, well then there are the scab clan giants or any of the other fat bodies I'm sure are out there. I'm not usually so sure about a pick up front, so feel free to convince me otherwise, but for now BE is my man.
+1 Breaking//Entering

I'm personally torn between breaking // entering and maze abom. I think breaking // entering can be a huge bomb for us late in games and obviously works well with blast of genius. I think we have to take it as we it's quite possible to see another abom come around.
+1 Breaking // Entering

I wanna do Breaking//Entering because I know we'll be the only team able to pull it off. Sure, it may end up being a bust, but if we mill one of their win-cons, it as if we put a removal spell on it. Lyev decree is good too, but its not as good as some of the other tap down spells out there. (Frost Breath was always pretty nice. Wrong set, but still)
+1 Breaking//Entering

Mill is great in limited if you can go all in on it.
DGM just doesn't have enough mill to really pull that off. 8 card off the top of the library is 20%. But that's 1 card burned and 2 mana down the drain for a strategy we aren't even looking at.
The red/black side is more interesting side for us. But it is 6 CMC and we've already got a bunch of items in at that level. And we'd be fishing for something we already saw.
Now if we can hit both, that's the best plan. But that's a painful proposition for us. UBBR4 will be brutal to get our hands on.
I'd much rather go with a known quantity of the Abomination. It's only B5 and it'll make Deputy, Flux and a few other creatures all deathtouch.

Very true, another Abomination couldn't hurt for consistency's sake. And I wasn't proposing mill as a win condition, but as pseudo removal of their win conditions. Anyway, after some thought:
-1 Breaking//Entering, +1 Maze Abomination

I have to sit tight on B/E. it can hit our fluxcharger, and give us a creature. It can rescue our (God forbid) countered Aetherling. 20 percent of a library is huge and can result in a flood/screw/removal of win-cons. In the event of a blast of genius on turn five, that's also huge. And as has already been stated, another abomination is almost a certainty.
July 10, 2013 12:36 p.m.
Milling out a win condition is a viable point. There's not a lot of graveyard recursion in this set...

+1 Breaking / Entering. Note that it can mill the opponent and resurrect our own creature if need be, and it has a tendency to do more than the abomination, assuming our opponents opened any sort of bomby creatures. The only other option I really see is the Boros Cluestone.
July 10, 2013 1:02 p.m.
Breaking will actually hit around 33 percent T8. If our opponent has 4 creatures we want to hit, than odds are we'll hit one. Since dgm is so top heavy, we'll probably get a maze creature at least. If we hit a mirko, I will laugh my head off. Another abomination might not be needed. Further expensive things will really have to be quite good to justify it. We already have an abomination, which don't stack all that well.
+1 Breaking

And warped physique. Runners bane isn't that good, but it sucks to signal that blue is open. I'm quite surprised neither of these have been taken. Either blue is very open, our this pack was fairly deep. The Kraul warrior remaining is interesting.
July 11, 2013 10:33 a.m.
Well, it's going reverse order. So, the green greedy players have yet to pick it up.
I am seeing a lack of white and red here. We have a boros player to upstream this rotation. This is good to know. Next pack we'll get first pick at those colors and we can remember to take the choicer bits.
+1 Warped Physique. Instant speed remove/pump. My second choice would be Runner's bane. Both fit the curve nicely and play similar roles.
July 11, 2013 10:54 a.m.
Lots of blue here too. I think we may have Blue mostly to ourselves! Rock on!
July 11, 2013 11:03 a.m.
+1 Warped Physique. I'd like to grab a few more creatures this pack but can't say no to removal.

But guys... there's a FOIL cluestone! If we don't take it then we're signaling that foils are open. Jk.

Finally! some good on color fixing. i know the firstblade is tempting, but I just don't think we should do it. That izzet guildgate is the first one we've seen, and fixing is going to be super-important to make this deck work. Dimir cluestone also palatable.
+1 izzet guildgate

+1 Dimir Cluestone.
The way I see it, cluestones are ramp. The sooner we can get to 6 mana, the better.
