I think we actually do fluffy, because we missed a pick when landot wasn't able to get online he grabbed that out of the last pack we didn't see.

I think he was just summing up our previous two picks. We should only have one.
+1 Steeple Roc is the the play here I think. Splashable, Evasive. Hard to kill in combat. But expensive.

Wait so is this 2.9? It must be, look at all the similar cards from pick 1.
OK really, how are all these kraul warriors going by? At least, it should help us identify who's in green.
Roc is probably the best card here. Wear/tear isnt particularly useful. We might as well take roc, damn the curve.

okay okay okay. So. now we have an extra day, because some of the other groups got the wrong packs for their last picks. Explanations: I was judging M14 prereleases from midnight friday until midnight saturday, which is why I didn't get packs to you. I should've planned around that, and will next time. I picked a second copy of warped physique out of pack 2.8. the rest of that pack was Gleam of Battle, Showstopper, Azorius Cluestone, Clear a Path, Fatal Fumes, Golgari Cluestone, Maze Rusher.
Our next pack will be 2.2; we'll see it early tuesday.

Nivix Cyclops wheeled! looks like our signalling is ok. I can't see a way around taking it.
+1 Nivix Cyclops.

+1 Nivix Cyclops
On colour, low curve, and a good body for our deck.
July 16, 2013 1:01 p.m.
Also, we must clearly go mono-black to play Necropotence . So that we can draw more Necropotence .
Anyone else who sees this will be horribly confused.
Anyway, you know my vote.

The glider and the guildgate have been taken though. Someone is probably splashing Izzet colors.
Dimir seemed relatively open as well. Everyone saw that warped physique, so any dimir drafter would have to have taken something better.
July 16, 2013 3:08 p.m.
The only way to lose with Necropotence is if you don't have any other cards in the deck but Necropotence . We only 4 of them. We should totally let this one go by.
July 16, 2013 3:25 p.m.
we're assembling the worst best combo ever: Necropotence
, Paraselene
, Laboratory Maniac
, and Greed
.
in real life: dimir is awful in this format as an actual deck. we may be the only ones doing both blue and black in any combination, though, to see two good removal spells late -- I think it's another sign that we need to weigh black more heavily than white if we don't see more mana fixing.
July 16, 2013 4:45 p.m.
huh. okay, there are 2.5 playables for us in this pack. i think we're signalling well. Deputy of Acquitals, Izzet Cluestone, or murmuring phantasm.
I'd like to start cutting down on our white, and we need to really start prioritizing fixing -- so I actually think cluestone is the right pick. But there are certainly other ways of looking at it. your thoughts?
+1 izzet cluestone. for now.
July 17, 2013 6:12 a.m.
I'm thinking Murmuring Phantasm. Fits our 2 CMC slot and can block most things in this block all day long.
If Aetherling hits the board just having a consistent blocker is removal enough.

We really need a dimir/rakdos guildgate or two.

It is indeed Cluestone for this pick.
I will throw in yet another voice for prioritizing fixing, particularly into our splash(es).

I actually like the phantasm. If we play this guy T2, we could probably just wait until aetherling mana. Stone and deputy are good too.

Just noticed. We don't actually have 2x warped physique, it would be awesome if we did, but we don't.
