Not a huge fan of this pack, but I hope we can get ahold of some Sinister Possession

+1 Carnage Gladiator

Sorry, guys. We took the Blast of Genius last pack. Also, we have a new team member, DukeNicky. I'll add the picks so far to the description, unlinked. that should keep our privacy intact.

+1 Carnage Gladiator

Its between the gladiator and the drake. Gladiator is a better card, but drake is still in blue. For now, just take the better card I think.

Druid is amazing, and one of the best commons in the set. Wind drake might wheel -- and carnage gladiator sort of puts us in a midrangy good-stuff grixis deck. If that's the case, we may be able to get hired torturer on the wheel, as well.

+1 carnage gladiator. It's just too strong, and I'm kind of nervous about what two cards might have gone over it in this pack.

Thanks, apt142, for fixing my formatting above.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like a rare and a common are missing.

I'd be surprised if the Drake wheels. It's an appropriately costed flyer. It's kind of a bread and butter sort of card that's easily splashable.

Welcome DukeNicky. Also, do we want a team name?

June 25, 2013 4:18 p.m.

I certainly would like a team name. Team 'Appropriately Costed Flyer?' Team 'We'd win if mana burn were still a thing'? Team "look out, they're right behind you!"?

The maaka, the drake, moa, and the druid are all too good to realistically wheel -- if any of them do, it'll be a pretty clear signal.

Also, and I should've asked this earlier, what part of the world are y'all in? Did we end up with a mostly west coast USA team?

I'm up in Vancouver, BC myself. Long live the rain.

I'm in Vancouver as well.

I vote our team name be Name. Just to confuse everybody possible.

The missing common is probably something like a fatal fumes or a runners bane.

June 25, 2013 5:09 p.m.

Murderous Rabbits, go.

June 25, 2013 5:18 p.m.

Since they left a power common, I would assume that the missing common is one of the other staple pick power commons like a tithe drinker, beetleform mage, etc. It could also be a common removal spell as previously stated.

I am just curious about second-picking removal over all the strong cards in this pack. There may have been a foil rare or uncommon, though, taking the place of a common.

Wike900 -- I like Team Name. that's nice.

What about team "Computer". I used to love naming myself that when I played on Starcraft LANs back in the day.

I'm in NC, USA. So, I'm busting your West Coast theory.

Yup, I'm in Alabama, so you're not alone.

This is the same list! Just linked so it would be easier to do this without constantly switching tabs.. So I'm fairly new to drafting, but I thought it might be a good idea to count mana symbols. If it's not a good idea and I'm wasting my time, just let me know.

Bronzebeak Moa

Carnage Gladiator

Rot Farm Skeleton

Clear a Path

Drown in Filth

Hired Torturer

Orzhov Guildgate

Orzhov Guildgate (there are indeed two of these; one is foil)

Rubblebelt Maaka

Sinister Possession

Wake the Reflections

Wind Drake

Zhur-Taa Druid

4 G2 W5 B4 R1 U

(13 colorless if it matters)

I didn't include the mana symbols on the guildgates.

hmm count came out weird. 4 Green, 2 White, 5 Black, 4 Red, 1 Blue.

DukeNicky says... #18

SO this is what has been picked up until now?

June 25, 2013 10:21 p.m.

magerob says... #19

FYI: We had not been linking as people thought it made a difference. However, I can confirm comments are readable whether cards are linked or not, so I'm fine with linking.

This is the current pack. We have picked aetherling and black of genius so far.

June 25, 2013 10:25 p.m.

Euphonatron says... #21

if everyone can see everybody else's votes, then are there going to be articles for each round?

June 25, 2013 10:28 p.m.

magerob says... #22

I think because there's no way to prevent viewing picks on the site.

June 25, 2013 10:29 p.m.

Euphonatron says... #23

is there another place we could do our voting for the time being, or would that be outside the spirit of this venture?

June 25, 2013 10:30 p.m.

Unforgivn_II says... #24

No, the observers are the only ones who can seen this besides us. They have no part, other than watching. The reason we weren't linking cards is because when you click on the card, you get taken to its page. Even though the deck itself is private, anyone card read the full comment that has the linked card in it in the section under the rules and eBay ad.

Meaning, other teams can too.
