There's na eBay ad? LOL I never knew that I know that when I use my iPad I see MTGMadness ads and that's it. On my Bionic and iMac I don't see any ads :D

As for this pack I really like the Druid a mana dork who pings is pretty useful (nearly did me in at pre-release) that said I love how the Gladiator is more versatile and relentless in ability

Oh yea that is true and unlike other comments that can be deleted, those ones can't

Yes KorSplicer, that's my point. I know some packs coming to us from viewing those after I saw my own comments showing up. I'm going to let Caley know but I think it's safe to assume we're not the only ones who know.

The eBay ad is always trying to sell you the card you're looking at. Maybe only I have that, since I use eBay.

I use eBay all the time, hell I even sell, but I have AdBlock+ installed so I don't see crap xD makes the internet that much more beautiful to look at

So, my question returns: Can/Should we move the discussion to a different venue?

June 25, 2013 10:54 p.m.

magerob says... #8

I don't think so, everyone is on equal footing at least. Even if we did if the next team to draft after us doesn't someone can figure out what we took fro, their posts.

Oh man I forgot about recent comments on profiles. Screw it, link away

I already know about the "you can see stuff in people's recent comments." So far only a few folks have figured it out. You guys are on the honor system not to abuse this until Yeago fixes it; also feel free to move your discussion if you like.

Don't worry. Speaking for myself, the fun of drafting is not knowing what happens next. Its a true test of skill. Its better to lose and strive to get better than to cheat and win. I mean, as far as I know, there aren't even incentives for winning. Its all about the journey, man

Yeah, what would be the point of cheating?

When our deck starts kicking butt, I want to be able to say we pulled it off fair and square.

Tom, what's the verdict? You wanna hang out here or move the discussion somewhere private?

+1 Runner's Bane.

Following BREAD, I'm not seeing a particular bomb here. And this is one of the best removal for DGM. The fact that it is blue is kind of nice too!

magerob says... #15

I also like fluxcharger here quite a lot. It's a big booty flier that can swing in for damage, especially if we end up with some weapon surges later on.

Unforgivn_II says... #16

I believe we keep the discussion here. All of the observers would be upset if there was nothing to observe. I also like Runner's Bane. But the Fluxcharger could be solid as a stopper in the air. However, if its our only blocker to their flying bomb, we can only cast instants on our turn, unless it goes kamikaze and takes the bomb with it.

+1 Runner's Bane. Gotta love pseudo-removal

Fluxcharger's ability is optional. We can still continue with instants and choose not to switch power and toughness.

He's really got no drawback in that arena. And he does pair well with Weapons Surge. Another of my favorites in this format. He's great and I did not feel like removal is at a premium here I would definitely consider him.

June 26, 2013 12:25 p.m.

Runner's bane or fatal fumes (since we grabbed carnage gladiator o_O.

June 26, 2013 12:37 p.m.

Wike900 says... #20

Again, between Fluxcharger and bane.

Remember, runners bane hits all but 10 nonrare creatures, most of which are uncommon, and all of which are above 3 mana. IIRC, nothing nonrare actually removes it, save deputy of acquittals and species gorger.

fluxcharger requires we draft a decent amount of instants and sorceries to be good, but that might not be the best course of action. Bane is just generically good.

+1 runners bane

June 26, 2013 12:42 p.m.

Remember that runner's bane falls off when a creature gets enchanted to over 3 power.

June 26, 2013 12:44 p.m.

magerob says... #22

+1 Fluxcharger

I'll vote for flux, but I'm definitely fine with Runner's bane. I don't think fatal fumes is a great card in the format, and taking it defensively wouldn't be good.

June 26, 2013 12:44 p.m.

apt142 says... #23

Hidden strings also bypasses it for a bit. I once had a guy cypher hidden strings on my bane target. He'd attack and then untap himself with the cypher. Bloody brilliant!

June 26, 2013 1 p.m.

Unforgivn_II says... #24

In that case, -1 Runner's Bane, +1 Fluxcharger. That big of a blocker will stop most flyers, which can be a problem in limited. Plus, he can go offensive if we need.

June 26, 2013 1:07 p.m.

Wike900 says... #25

Oh wait, I didn't see the fumes.

Well, I still think bane is better removal.fumes is too expensive and conditional for my liking.

We should note that the next group is quite likely to take the fumes, or if not them, then the next group.

There are going to be a hell of a lot of orzhov gates floating around.

A rare, a uncommon, and a common have been taken. I don't know what common would have been taken over the removal we see.
