Shouldn't that be 3 ancestral recalls for the set of one-for-threes?

yeah, it should be. but who's gonna believe we drafted those? :-p

It's my favorite Deputy!
+1 Deputy of Acquittals.
I also concur with your auto draft strategy.

Pilfered Plans . Card draw is excellent, I've been unimpressed generally by Uncovered Clues , and Cluestones are pretty bad. They can make it in there, but there's no reason to take one with a perfectly good draw spell, somewhat on color, still in the pack.

Uncovered Clues kinda blows, and since nothing is solely R/U, we're gonna need some black in here. Pilfered Plans beats Rakdos Cluestone because it has that draw, plus the added bonus of it not being a cluestone.

I say cluestone for ramp since we have the ling.
July 2, 2013 7:04 a.m.
+1 Rakdos Cluestone.
Or the Azorious Cluestone. I suspect we'll see more white coming our way in the next packs than black after I saw the Deputy wheel.
July 2, 2013 7:35 a.m.
+1 Cluestone. maybe azorious as I think that's blue is our only guarenteed colour so far
July 2, 2013 11:57 a.m.
Probably either of the cluestones. We need some fixing anyway, and this pack offers some decent fixing. The plans really only gives 1 more card than a cluestone, and is harder to cast. Golgari stone is not needed, azorius would be useful is we were more sure that white was open, but for now, rakdos offers the most appropriate mana.
Cluestones are probably better in just dgm.ramping into to maze cycle is quite sting, and we probably have the time to cantrip with it.
I wonder who took the Cyclops...
July 2, 2013 12:09 p.m.
+1 cluestone (pref. azorius, but rakdos is fine too)
We need fixing, and we need ramp -- if our game plan is to power into our 6-drops, as seems to be, cluestones are good, especially as right now we have nothing on turn 3. Cluestones provide ramp, fixing, and a little bit of late-game card draw. Divination is fine, but both these cluestones are in colors we're thinking about; now is the time to take them. I really like the black cards we have, but I have to agree with magerob blue is our only sure thing right now -- let's support that with the azorius cluestone.
As for who took the cyclops, this was a really weak pack -- someone probably just grabbed it as the only psuedo-playable card. I don't think it's a sign.

+1 azorius cluestone.
It's got blue which is most important, and in the event of having white as a color, then it will be twice as useful.
next pack coming will be very picked clean i suspect. 2 gates, wake the reflections, clear a path, and sinister possession? just guessing.
July 2, 2013 3:28 p.m.
Sorry for being a bit late with this pack. Not much here to speak of. Clear a Path or Sinister possession, or we could take call the reflections just because there is at least one good selesnya deck out there. Doesn't matter much to me -- clear the path kills nivix cyclops and murmuring phantasm, both of which we've seen -- so I guess that's my choice.
+1 clear a path

Me too.
I think we can say that Orzhov is picked over.

+1 Clear a Path
At least it can be used in the sideboard. Since we aren't committed to black, something as meh as Sinister Possession shouldn't be what commits us
July 3, 2013 2:12 p.m.
I'm surprised no one took the skeleton. It's decent enough for a creature. I suppose we could hatedraft it. Clear a path is a pretty bad sideboard, but otherwise, its the best we have.
July 3, 2013 3:28 p.m.
It's all bad. Clear a path is probably the least bad for us.

Hmm, well with 15 dark rits, we're bound to win.
