I vote for the Weapon Surge , though I think Showstopper could also be fun.

There's a few good things in here for us. Riot Piker would be some good early pressure, but I feel like it would get outclassed too easily. Morgue Burst could be very nice, being used as a removal spell and a way to get back a big threat. It's a bit overcosted, but could be useful. We could also just take a second Battering Krasis and be happy with that. Personally, I like Morgue Burst , so I'm going to vote for that for now, but I really want to see what everyone else thinks.

I also think Morgue Burst would be fun. And I also feel that Battering Krasis would be a safe pick. So, I'd be fine with either.

Ok, im so sorry. I could not find this and i didnt have wifi for the first five days..... -_-.... Anyways, can someone catch me up on what you guys are drafting right now?
June 30, 2013 12:04 p.m.
It's triple DGM, so a little unorthodox - we're only in pack one, as the update indicates, we're just now on our eighth pick so you actually haven't missed all that much. It looks like we're getting a handle on something of a Jund build. Come on in and join the picking!
I had my eye on Morgue Burst also, but I kinda feel like a second Battering Krasis could be a good time. I think I'll reserve judgement til later tonight.

Personally, i would say Morgue Burst because Battering Krasis is a 3-drop and while its good, its not great, and the only other good 6-drops we might see is Maze Abomination and maybe Blast of Genius

I feel like we need some more early pressure since we don't really have any two drops and I found Riot Piker to be a great two drop since it trades well and works well with any buffs

I don't really think early pressure is going to be the name of the game in a triple DGM draft. I think we want a solid midrange with some lategame help.
June 30, 2013 3:24 p.m.
I feel like Riot Piker would be just the thing we'd need if our early picks had been largely Gruul and / or Boros. But those weren't our cards and you can't do much with a Piker you can only barely pump with one spell.
June 30, 2013 5:20 p.m.
That said, I think my vote will go towards Morgue Burst for sure - I get the feeling pack 2 or 3 will hold our bomb and we'll want to be able to retrieve it since I'm sure someone else out there has the removal.

my bad I keep forgetting this is dgm-dgm-dgm. I usually make really aggressive borzhov decks in rtr draft. Just go with morgue burst.

Goblin Test Pilot
Protect / Serve
Awe for the Guilds
Hidden Strings
Izzet Cluestone
Mutant's Prey
Wake the Reflections

(Is this the first pack come back to us? I've lost track.)
Hmm... Well, Mutant's Prey will most likely be next to useless for us. So, I guess that leaves Awe for the Guilds ?
July 1, 2013 4:39 a.m.
These packs certainly aren't deep - yeah, this is our starting pack. I think there was a Fatal Fumes and uh... not much? Let's go with Awe for the Guilds

NickyTwoShoes says... #18
Awe for the Guilds is our only choice, really. It's better than Mutant's Prey at least.

Man, this pack sucks. I doubt we'd play Awe for the Guilds , but it is the only playable card
Maybe the cluestone because we do have Beetleform Mage and drafting 3x DGM gives us lots of mana Fixing so doing 4 colors is foreseeable.
I guess I vote for Izzet Cluestone beacuse nothing else is really that good.

Since there aren't any cards for us i think we should actually hate draft the only decent cards either Izzet Cluestone or Protect / Serve to prevent others from getting it rather than picking a card we know we don't plan on using.

I think we should take the Izzet Cluestone . I see it being plausible to splash for blue in our deck if we get some nice blue cards. Even if we don't go blue, it's not like we'd want to play anything else in this pack.
July 1, 2013 3:24 p.m.
Right! Forgot that this was the opening pack! What used to be in here:
Render Silent
Protect / Serve
(There were two; one foil)
Putrefy
(Which we took)
Nivix Cyclops
Opal Lake Gatekeepers
Orzhov Guildgate
Steeple Roc
Ubul Sar Gatekeepers
July 1, 2013 4:07 p.m.
I also kinda feel like the Izzet Cluestone is the way to go. We're not in need of any of these cards but you never know what's to come.
July 1, 2013 4:11 p.m.
Timekeeper says... #24
Yeah, I could see the cluestone being more useful potentially. So I suppose I am changing my vote to that.
July 1, 2013 9:16 p.m.
Sounds good. I think the Cluestone's got it. I'll submit our pick in a bit.
Just FYI (and I'll remind of this in the updates as we close in), picks 13-15 will be something akin to Caley's autodraft process, to speed things along. I believe the team leaders all agreed to also have no sort of break or day off in between packs, to keep things from idling too long. So after this and a few more picks, we'll be on to Pack 2 pretty quickly!
TridenT says... #1
I will submit Weapon Surge then, if there's no heavy objection?
