Personally, I think we've got enough multicolor fellas that a Maze Abomination wouldn't go amiss.

Awww Breaking / Entering ... a fun card but probably wouldn't be a good idea here.

I'd be good with a maze abomination though.

Maze Abomination is good, but maybe we should take Rakdos Drake and get more aggressive?

uh... Scab-Clan Giant . Maze Abomination and even Rakdos Drake will come by again later. We're now clearly in those colors and it's quite a powerful card. In Dragon's Maze block, Korozda Gorgon , Maze Abomination , and Species Gorger are the only commons/uncommons that can win a fight with Scab-Clan Giant . Most of the time you can play it and kill a random flyer or 2 drop. It's a very strong card and is better than Maze Abomination , who enters the battlefield and doesn't do anything immediately. Destroy target creature (even at random) is still a strong ability to staple onto an already large creature.

That's true, Scab-Clan Giant is pretty much a built in 2 for 1, creature and removal spell. Maze Abomination and Rakdos Drake are both commons too, like hubatish said.

Also, if anyone's wondering, I think a Guildgate is missing from this pack.

The Scab-Clan Giant would be a good Gruul bomb, but Breaking / Entering could be a good bomb too. I'll vote for the giant.

I suppose Scab-Clan Giant is it then. Hopefully next pack hasn't been waiting on me, I've been terribly inattentive to my obligations today.

a second Carnage Gladiator ? Or Kraul Warrior cause hes a two drop?

TridenT says... #11

I think a second Gladiator might be interesting. Would Blaze Commando be worth a look or is that too much white splash, you think?

hubatish says... #12

I think Carnage Gladiator again - it's true we don't have any 2 drops but hopefully we can pick them up later.

hubatish says... #13

As for Blaze Commando , we only have Morgue Burst for dealing damage. Doesn't seem worth splashing for.

July 8, 2013 2:23 p.m.

Definitly not blaze commando, i guess the Gladiator is the best pick

Bring on the Carnage!

Gladiator it is!

Ah man, the pack of many cluestones. We'll see those again, I'm sure.
Do we think it's time for a Maze beast? The Behemoth may be good for us.

July 9, 2013 3:09 a.m.

hubatish says... #19

Or maybe Rot Farm Skeleton ? It could be good with our single Drown in Filth .

July 9, 2013 9:32 a.m.

Jarrheadd0 says... #20

All right, shall we try a 5-color deck, or are we cutting blue? Because I think the Pilfered Plans would be excellent, and it would still help Drown in Filth if we ran that. Plus, if we did do a 5-color deck, it could be a form of mana fixing for us. It helps us draw into our lands. On the other hand, maybe an Izzet Guildgate would be best if we're doing five colors. If we're going with Jund splashing white, probably Maze Behemoth .

July 9, 2013 5:09 p.m.

Timekeeper says... #21

Honestly, I think it would be safest to stick with the Behemoth.

July 9, 2013 6:20 p.m.

On the one hand, 5-color Nonsense is a deck I would run. On the other hand, I'm pretty bad at drafting, which is why I agreed to committee-lead a team. ;)

On a third, mutated hand, I feel like sticking to our three and a half colors will help us build something cohesive.

But we do have time to fix if we want to add in some blue. Go sort of a BRGwu?

I feel now is the time when we need to decide which colors we are definitely trying to go and stick to them no matter what or we will end up with a random 5 color leftovers deck. Should we stay with jund being our main colors and splash white or or switch to naya being our main colors and splash black.

Drown in Filth is not a card worth playing at all. It's really pitiful. The only reason we would play Rot Farm Skeleton would be to stay consistent other than that its pretty bad too.

If we go with the Maze Behemoth then we gotta make sure we start picking some lower drops in the next packs because our curve is getting kinda high. On the other hand, we can decide to start picking up these decent white cards which seem to be open.

I'm thinking go with the behemoth as our last big creature unless we some incredible rare.

July 9, 2013 8:52 p.m.

hubatish says... #24

Hmm... lots of good questions. I would definitely prefer to go RGWb or RGBw than go anywhere near blue. Red and white seem open, so it could be worth moving in.

I don't think Viashino Firstblade is the kind of card we want from white though, since 3-4 color aggro decks are not super good. We do have a lot of those Cluestone things, so I think our game plan is more like Fatties.dec, which seems okay. I vote Maze Behemoth .

TridenT says... #25

I am voting the Behemoth, because I want to make Jund (with white splash) our setup, which makes it our pick unless more people chime in against. I agree with Frostblade that it should be our last big mana drop if we can help it. However, keep in mind that this is gonna be some SLOW magic. Here's the list of even kinda feasible 2-or-less drops we might pull, creature-wise, in the coming picks:
Bane Alley Blackguard , Blood Scrivener (pack 3 rare if we're lucky), Kraul Warrior , Riot Piker , Savageborn Hydra (we wish), Skylasher (same), Spike Jester , Tithe Drinker (in our splash?), Voice of Resurgence (okay, we go Naya at this point), or another Zhur-Taa Druid .

Everything else is 3 and up. It's gonna be slow fights, all around. And I'm wary, because I don't think we've seen a single Mindstatic come through here, which means Caley is working his Island-fueled mojo on some team. >_>
