And actually, we only have about 11 non-cluestone playables. I'm concerned that, even if we get our fixing, we won't have enough spells to cast. So.. I'm going to vote for Maze Sentinel .. I also took a look at pack 3 (Scab-Clan Giant ), and I think we'll wheel another Selesnya Cluestone .

The cluestone for sure.
Possession is just bad.
We really need more creatures, but Maze Sentinel is NOT worth a splash, or even a big splash.
Clear a path is pretty much useless.
Which leaves Selesnya Cluestone

Not to mention we have 3 6-drops, we do not want a 4, especially a par splash 6-drop. so no Maze Sentinel
July 12, 2013 9:28 a.m.
Yeah, Maze Sentinel is really not a very good card, but this needs to be the very last Cluestone we pick up. We already have 3 on color, and we're getting a 4th. Depending on how many cluestones we end up playing, our 6 drops also become much better.

Man, hubatish, I don't know what christmas land you live in, but we're halfway into pack 2 of triple DGM.
We're going to have, at the very least, two more cluestones even if we take this one. Heck, I bet we get some just from autodrafting. Can't be helped. They're freaking everywhere. But look at it this way: they're fixing, they're barely qualifiable as ramp, they make six drops accessible, as you say.
But then by that logic, doesn't that make Maze Sentinel better...ish? I feel like we're going to see more multicolor creatures that might benefit from vigilance/deathtouch/trample.
More to the point, think about this: What on earth is in this set that gets rid of a swinging Maze Sentinel?
I feel my vote split 50/50 between the Sentinel and the Selesnya Cluestone.

Cluestones are Par cards, and Sentinel is a par card. Even if we play more Cluestones so we can play Sentinel, we're taking out useful slots for not very useful cards. In short, we're doing 2 bad things for 1 O.K. thing. That said, Sentinel is an ok pickup here because we can replace Maze Behemoth with it.
July 12, 2013 3:02 p.m.
Heh. Yeah, these picks really don't matter too much. We already have tons of Cluestones and tons of 6 drops, and hopefully we don't need to play any more of either.

As Jarhead said last pack, the deckbuilding is going to be super interesting.
We don't have to play every less-than-great thing we take.
We do have to play something though, so hopefully more good things come our way so we aren't stuck with the dregs.
I think the Selesnya Cluestone is the group pick, but if you guys change your mind and want the Sentinel let me know.

I'm going to side with TridenT's logic on Maze Sentinel here. I'd rather have anything with power and toughness than another cluestone.

Sorry Timekeeper, I don't think we outnumber the Cluestone votes here. On the other hand, I imagine we'll see more Maze guys too.

Yeah, the only creatures worth mentioning are the Maaka and the Torturer, and I'd prefer the Maaka.

Easy choice. Rubblebelt Maaka
. It's a 3/3 creature OR a giant growth.

Terribly sorry Jarr - it's like when you read words where the letters are jubmled and if you read fast enuogh you just gloss right over any that seem out of place.
Rubblebelt Maaka is definitely the go for this one.

I think Hired Torturer is the best pick here. It's mono-colored, a 3 drop, and makes a great staller.

It occurs to me that we only have 8 creatures. We should probably try to remedy that.
