Teferi, Time Raveler // Show and Tell

Oathbreaker deck

Teferi is protection, removal, card draw, and flash for three mana.

Show and Tell is a game breaking finisher for three mana.

This is an extremely low to the ground, interactive UW control deck. It is played primarily at instant speed and the curve mostly stops at three. The high cost spells are all cheated, leaving only three four mana sweepers and one five mana (along with Snapcaster and Mission Briefing). If you like legacy style Xerox control, this deck is for you.

The goal is to keep the board under control long enough to cast show and tell for a bomb. The sweepers leave all the wincons on the board. Teferi ensures your show and tell resolves, usually at instant speed. He can also bounce any permanents that cause trouble.

Wheels are to dig for wincons and recycle the deck. Narset has synergy with the wheels along with the rest of her very useful text.

Wait to play Teferi until you have a wincon in hand or when the board is nicely swept. Untapping, or having three open mana, in this scenario should push you far ahead.

Win might be slow, but there is a lot of protection and redundancy in the deck.

If you haven't guessed, I'm a hardcore UW draw go control player (check out my other decks). Baby Teferi is perfect for this play style!

Maybeboard discussion:

Knowledge Pool is an obvious include for the lock, but I feel in oathbreaker it's not so good. All players can still cast two spells guaranteed. Among those spells probably lurks an answer.

Jin-Gitaxias at EOT is probably closer to game over than the other fatties, but he's also the most vulnerable. His draw and discard are similar to indestructible, but don't protect against cards in the command zone. He also lacks synergy with our sweepers.

Time Wipe has a slight synergy with Snapcaster. I think the life gain of fumigate is probably more relevant though. A five mana sweeper might be too much.

Search for Azcanta feels a bit too slow, but could possibly accomplish a lot.

Enlightened tutor finds omniscience and blightsteel, but I'm of the mind that card draw is overall more useful than tutors in the Xerox shell.

9/2: Out - Fumigate, Council’s Judgement, Island; In - Force of Negation, Terminus, Prismatic Vista
