too many Brainstorm s and Insurrection s which I'm sure you already know, but while we're on the subject, I don't think insurrection will be good in this unless it's just to gain control of your opponents' creatures till the end of turn since you had already declared your attack (can't declare again w/ insurrection). I think I'd run things that give extra attack phases such as Relentless Assault , Savage Beating , and such, since Jevala's 2nd ability kicks off when she's declared as an attacker. I'm also not a fan of the curses. But I do like your start!

Doh! Didn't see the duplicates. Thanks for pointing out the problem with Insurrection. Removed it, and the duplicates, and added Relentless Assault and Savage Beating. Awesome idea there.

I also added Echo Mage back in since he copies Instants/Sorceries. I'm hoping the Curses will take some heat off of me for being too aggressive.

I enjoy this one quite a bit. I would personally get rid of Skyscribing and perhaps Vision Skeins (they'd work best if Nekusar, the Mindrazer were your primary commander) for stuff like Preordain and/ or Mystic Speculation , so that you can make sure you get the most out of your own library's top cards when you play your commander.

You have some good black sweepers. Red also has some good sweepers like Chain Reaction and Blasphemous Act , since you aren't over-reliant on creatures. Just slap a Darksteel Plate on Jeleva, or wipe the board before you cast her.

And perhaps you could replace Vampire Nighthawk with something like Dread as an upgraded deterrent to people attacking you, as, in EDH, the general rule is "go big or go home."

But fun stuff! Cruel Ultimatum, Army of the Damned, Rise of the Dark Realms, and Time Stretch are great finisher-sorceries. Plague Wind is another good one as long as you are casting for free!

All great suggestions. I was hoping to be using Nekusar more often but I think you're right about focusing more on Jeleva. Thanks!

Intresting list.

Try Lim-Dul's Vault instead of Index. The 1 mana difference lets you cycle your deck if need be, shuffle, and arrange the top 5 cards.

There are better spells for a lot of cards too. For example, Molten Rain is better than Demolish.

Innistrad's Bane is my take on Jevela. I'm focused a lot more on good stuff instant/sorceries. I've also got a few kill combos, with the main one being Hatred and Seize the Day

Also i am trying to build around Jeleva, lot of people go with Nekusar, i think is kinda better but i don't like to use what everyone is using so. I dont think Molten Rain is better than Demolish , demolish give you the option to destroy an artifact so in EDH i suppose that is good, the 2 damage that Molten Rain give to an opponent is really insignificant. Another option would be Pillage old school and cost one less, destroy land or artifact. There is also a spell (black/red) that destroy a land or creature and is common (dont know the name), seem useful.

Chain Reaction seem like a nice card, might thing about adding it to mine. I am kinda new to EDH and at first i tough it was going to be hard trying to build a deck with so many cards but i have so many ideas and 100 cards is just not enough LOL. I also want to include in mine Olivia Voldaren i like her

Jeleva's Spell deck my version, currently i dont have it like this, still need some cards but this is kinda the road i am planning to go.

Also instead of Murder is a lot better Hero's Downfall , tho heros downfall cost a few bucks right now so if you dont have the money murder is alright. Smelt is not that good really, there are so many better options like Shattering Pulse or Vandalblast and are really cheap.

Oh wow, Vandalblast is great (especially since I have a friend running the Eternal Bargain deck). Definitely adding that one. Thanks for the recommendations.

I really like some of the revamping the pre-con gets in your version! Fun stuff :)

I do believe, however, that you have 101 cards, since your commander is not listed in the actual mainboard (the Commander textbox in the deck editor is just for displaying your commander, and doesn't actually add him to the card count).

Thanks! Yeah I'm torn on what I should get rid of. Definitely want to keep the board wipes, extra turns, scry, and the big creatures.

I see Brainstorm is in the sideboard, you should definetely put it main since it works well with Jeleva and is a lot better card than ponder anyway and like i said more synergy with jeleva.

If i were you i would reduce lands to at least 38 (i run with 36) and maybe put 2 more spells, things like Opportunity or some draw since that is the only thing the decks kind of lack IMO. Enchantments meeeh i wouldnt put any because well Jeleva can remove them with her ability but maybe they work for you and they arent that much just 3 so i suppose it can work.
