An experiment with Phyrexian Mana..

This deck was inspired by Rage Extractor , and how to get the most out of it .. Once I started trying to put this together, it quickly became apparent that literally every creature I found with Phyrexian symbols in it's casting cost (or otherwise) all happen to be artifact creatures, therefore including Tempered Steel became a no-brainer..

An ideal mid-range win condition is to cast a Rage Extractor , then burn the opponent out casting other higher CMC cards (Moltensteel Dragon, Thundering Tanadon , or even more Rage Extractor s.. I have some decent creatures for early pressure & small life-gain.. I have some healing to help offset the cost of Phyrexian mana.. There's also a dash of creature removal and protection for good measure..

I really want to add a Soul Conduit, for obvious reasons, but I find it way too costly, however, I think it would be rather interesting to have for multiplayer.. ;P

Obviously this is still a work-in-progress, I think a tutor of some sort would help me in general.. I've also noted it doesn't do that great against a strong aggro deck.. But so far I like the way it's been slowly coming together.. Please playtest it and tell me what you think about it, and +1 if you think I'm on the right track! ;)

Btw, the extra sideboarding of Mental Misstep is for casual play with my friends.. ;P Also I don't mind stepping out of 'Extended' either, I simply called it as it is at present..

I decided to take a pretty big gamble.. I switched out all of my basic lands in favor of all Zendikar lands..

Because of this, essentially ALL of my lands comes into play tapped.. However--as a result, nearly all of my lands give me one or two points of life..

Now I recognize that this would significantly slow me down, but I believe it would be for the best in terms of offsetting the cost of Phyrexian spells, while satisfying the need for dual-lands in an "Extended" context.. ( And also because I happened to have complete playsets of these cards on-hand in my collection.. :P )

I've playtested it a few times as-so, and it seems to work pretty well.. What do you think?
