Maybeboard

Since Collected Company has rotated out of Standard, it's price has drastically gone down. This means I can finally build my dream deck: Temur Company! Most Company decks in Modern are just cookie-cutter Abzan infinite combo decks, but that isn't fun! This is a deck completely built not around any infinite combos, but rather, gaining as much cheap advantage as possible, using the famed Collected Company.

CARD CHOICES

Savage Knuckleblade

This deck has very little red influence, with the only really "red" card being Savage Knuckleblade, however, this card is a big reason to play a RUG build of Company. I will admit, it isn't an amazing card on its own, but a 4/4 at instant speed (with Company) is a nice combat trick, and dropping one on turn three isn't bad either. Just a nice card overall to put out with Company.

Courser of Kruphix

Another great 3 drop, this guy helps hit your land drops while also fixing the top of your deck for future Company's. He's also very good at keeping you alive, and a nice blocker. Potentially raising it to a three-of.

Eternal Witness

An obvious choice for Company decks everywhere. No description needed.

Scavenging Ooze

We're in green, and I don't have money for Tarmogoyf. Still though, we all know how good the ooze is. Also a great late game mana sink.

Birds of Paradise And Sylvan Caryatid

Mana dorks are essential in this deck, especially since I don't have money for a normal Modern landbase. Six might seem excessive, but landing a turn three Collected Company is very satisfying, and having either of these in your opener let that happen. A turn two Savage Knuckleblade using Birds of Paradise is really nice too.

Filigree FamiliarI used to be running four of the next card I'm going to mention, but I thought I'd try cutting two to try two of this fellow. A nice value creature to the likes of Kitchen Finks. Not much to say until further testing.

Now we get to the jankier cards in this deck.

Burning-Tree Emissary

It might look out of place, but I can assure you that this card is the reason a lot of combos happen. Pulling one or two of these off a Company and playing another creature from your hand or another Company is super sick. A lot of times in the late game, a Company into these lets you drop additional creatures from your hand and fill the board. Who doesn't like free mana?

Nulltread Gargantuan

This big fellow is super great at combo-ing with Eternal Witness. The dream is to use a Collected Company to put this and Eternal Witness into play, adding back the Company and putting Witness back on top of the deck to use again. Nulltread also isn't too bad with Burning-Tree Emissary. Apart from all this, it IS a 5/6, which can block pretty much anything in Modern (without flying).

Pestermite And Deceiver Exarch

These cards are another big reason to play this deck over the much more popular Abzan Company. Temur Company is INCREDIBLY well at controlling combat, and these cards are a big advocate for that. You can tap down your opponent's problem creatures so they can't attack, or so you can make a huge swing for the game. You can also be super cheap sometimes and tap an opponent out of some mana during their Upkeep. I'm only running one Deceiver Exarch because I can't run four Pestermite.

That's it for the creatures. The only non-creature spells I'm running besides Collected Company are Serum Visions and Lightning Bolt. Serum Visions just because, apart from being a great draw spell, it can fix the top of your deck for Company, and that's super nice. Lightning Bolt because you're playing red.

So that's the deck! I don't have enough money for an actual Modern landbase with shocks and fetches, but if I did, I would definitely use it. Other than that, there isn't much to say. If you think you could help me improve this deck, please tell! There could be some really awesome creatures I forgot about in the making of this deck, so if you know of any, that'd be great! Overall, if you like winning by out-advantaging your opponent, this is the deck for you!
