Sacrificial Beatdown!
This is the 1st deck I've submitted to TappedOut since rejoining the MTG community just recently. I've been modifying this deck for weeks, testing different options and using the cards I actually have currently.
The name of the game is Energy. It is whole, it is my lifeline. The deck revolves around energy - and the ability to maximize cards with double-digit energy.
Let's start with Vizier of the Menagerie. The Naga Cleric that allows me to foresee the future, and cast the future! If I get away with a turn 3 Vizier of the Menagerie or Bristling Hydra you're already in the hole.
Bristling Hydra - He refuses to quit. He's protected not just by energy but with Blossoming Defense I will never play him unless I have 6+ energy after he enters - Which is very simple to play it turn 3 after Servant of the Conduit and Aether Hub or Attune with Aether.
Electrostatic Pummeler late game is just incredible. One Blossoming Defense and a measly Electrostatic Pummeler triggers becomes a 12/12. That's not including Fling taking 12 to the face. One more trigger is 24!
Rhonas the Indomitable is REALLY good. With the ability to buff other creatures to activate specter of death, he dominates the field.
Elder Deep-Fiend does his job. Regardless. Be ready for him on your upkeep or a late win condition on a standoff of creatures.
harnessed lighting is my only removal. I feel confident enough to overpower your creatures early or force you into burning your removal up on my early game creatures, unprepared to fight Bristling Hydra midgame.
Insult / Injury is a taste at the moment. I'm unsure to use that or Open Into Wonder if I'm going for the whole "you're tapped out" game winner sort of thing.
Glimmer of Genuis to me is a spectacular card. The only reason it doesn't see mainboard is for the slower pace in itself. I just know against control I need extra gas sometimes.
Release the Gremlins is just mean, but is a bit slow. I prefer Appetite for the Unnatural against Heart of Kiran
Lifecrafter's Bestiary could be the sneak card against control I could imagine. Manipulate the deck with upkeep scry, and a hoard of creatures comes with an extra card for every cast...Go ahead, counter my creature. I still draw (;
I'm still very open to suggestions! Feel free to spark conversation.
Thank you for reading. Good luck!
