Duneblast makes an easy creature unblockable so if you have Teneb out you get his ability out easily

The thing about that card though is Duneblast takes 7 cmc to cast, and it is a bit too costly to cast, where I would like to have other mana too cost other combos or tutors on my turn. Maybe the new boardwipe Crux of Fate will be good, but it is getting quite hard to cut cards from Tenebu.

Thanks for the suggestion though!

I'm working in on making a Teneb deck with the idea of keeping all the cards from my Anafenza, the Foremost tiny leaders deck in it... Don't know if it will work out...

Checked out your TL deck, almost all the cards in it can be run into Teneb. Some cards I wouldn't run would be Underworld Connections, Ajani, Caller of the Pride, and Scute Mob. Those cards are good in other formats, but in EDH they are less useful and easily removable.

Otherwise good luck on your deck! Let me know when you finish building it I would love to check it out when you are done!

I was looking over that card when I was building Tenebu weeks ago, the card shows promise!

I will try get that card and probably remove a ramp spell to see how it would run at my LGS later on.

Thanks for the help!

Should add Karador, Ghost Chieftain, Planar Cleansing, Rise of the Dark Realms, Hunting Grounds, Gaea's Cradle, and maybe Mana Reflection. An Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers might also be good since your commander takes black mana for his ability.

I run Karador, Ghost Chieftain as my side commander depending on which groups I play with. Planar Cleansing is great and all but most of the time I would draw the card it was dead in my hand as with this deck I tend to set up quite early and it would hinder me more if I destroyed everything. I also used to run Mana Reflection alongside with Mirari's Wake but it made the deck a bit redundant when I am going for fast combo kills and ending the game early.

Rise of the Dark Realms seems super fun, might try use it but it is very high cmc cost and I can't really cheat that in. Hunting Grounds however seems excellent! I will try pick one up and use it. Gaea's Cradle wouldn't run as well for me as I tend only to have 2-3 creatures on the field most of the time. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers should be in this deck but for some reason I never got the chance to get them lol.

Thanks for viewing and the suggestions!

How is your land base? You run 36 lands, and a fair bit of creature ramping. If you have a hard time deciding you can always cut out a land and try see from there. Otherwise I would recommend taking out Terastodon, the reason being Woodfall Primus does the exact same thing but with no negative drawbacks. They are both 8 cmc and do the same thing, unless you like the redundancy of it.

On the side note, Living Death is another way to win you games. I would recommend you switch that out in lieu of End Hostilities as it doubles both as a board wipe and can reanimate your creatures if you have your win-cons in your grave.

Honestly, I don't like Canopy Vista with only 6 Basics in the deck.Since you're going to want to combo out, you will want any bit of help in digging for combo pieces. I would replace Vista for Horizon Canopy Every card matters when you want to hit your combo pieces, and with Crucible of Worlds you can get some real value out of Horizon Canopy

Fair enough, the sad part is I already traded away my last copy of Horizon Canopy. When I get the chance I will swap it in whenever I get a hold of another one. Originally I added Canopy Vista in due to the fact that there were some games I fetched out my entire land base by turn 4, but in retrospect if I had a Horizon Canopy at any point in any point of those games I would have dig harder and combo out faster.

Thanks for the advice!

Black Sun's Zenith is too slow, doesn't provide me with a win condition, and is a mass boardwipe. It is usually good, but not in this deck build.

Path to Exile was in here originally, but giving an opponent an land is sometimes far to advantageous to them. Even though it is a one cmc, I prefer Swords to Plowshares or even Abrupt Decay over it.

Thanks for the advice though!

hi there & thanks for the great deck/descrition!

one question i have, u wrote:"If Karmic Guide is in your graveyard and Reveillark is in your hand, evoke Reveillark and have it target Karmic Guide and Acidic Slime."

why evoke?

its more expensive..

some more thougts

do i miss the point with Fiend Hunter ? ok, he can mill ur opponents graveyard when combined with sun titan, but is there much else combo-ish stuff he can do?

what do u think about Stitch Together and Genesis ??also Yavimaya Elder instead of woodelves as an option?

another thing im wondering, how do u normally get things started? i mean ok u have Entomb and Buried Alive and your tutors to get the 2 key creatures plus a sac engine in place. seems not too reliable. wouldnt Fauna Shaman be the perfect help for settling things up? or do u do that with Survival of the Fittest mostly? also Evolutionary Leap might be an option

doctaBernau says... #25

EDIT: Fiend Hunter can mill only in combination with Altar of Dementia of course (and sun titan)
