To make this deck work, first I ramp up my mana. I alternate between burning my opponent's creatures and casting creatures of my own until I can get a Mercurial Chemister or a Prophet of Kruphix on the 'field. Once a Chemister is down I can draw a Prophet within a few turns, and once they are both down I can rule the 'field with card advantage and unbridled creature destruction. After control is mine, I cast a Jace, Memory Adept or a Phenax, God of Deception as my win condition.

Side in Boros Charm to protect against removal heavy decks such as Maze's End decks or black devotion. Burning Earth is a great side-in card against Maze's End or most dual+ color decks. Pithing Needle is waiting for any one-trick pony deck. Psychic Spiral can be sided in if the opponent is Hero's Downfalling my Jace, Memory Adepts before I can mill him down far enough, and I keep Syncopate handy against removal-heavy decks such as blue control, burn, or green/black aggro.
