Muddle the Mixture used to be pretty strong in the old Thopter/Depths deck. Can tutor for both Thopter Foundry and Sword of the Meek, and counter spells if needs be.

How has your mana base been working? I haven't played much artifact control, but you have only 11 black producing lands and 5 turn 1 discards. I don't know the math of that but I might suggest a few more? Or does the deck do alright if it doesn't get black mana turn 1?

It has worked out pretty well so far. This kind of mana base is pretty common in this archetype. You don't always have black mana turn 1 as consistently, but I've found that the deck picks up pace quickly by turns 2-5 anyways.

Do you think you could use Whir of Invention? Other than that, looks sweet!

Yeah definitely! I've considered a couple of builds that do Whir of Invention with some other single artifacts to tutor up (namely Ensnaring Bridge). Thanks for the suggestion! This archetype is pretty flexible, so you can play whatever fits your style and works in your meta.
