Mana Confluence // Glimmervoid over City of Brass? Both are better here, I think (Confluence over City because if they tap it down, you get burned. With confluence, you only take one if you tap it for mana)

I opted for City of Brass over Mana Confluence because of price, and because the difference is more or less Negligible. I don't run Glimmervoid because I don't run enough low cost artifacts to make use of it. This isn't affinity. This is control

I would recommend some Flooded Strand, Polluted Delta, or Wurmcoil Engine as a finisher.

Hi OpenFire, thanks for your suggestions. I decided against fetches as the deck is already a bit pricy, and fetches would just add to that. The alternative would be to go just fetches, no shocks, and at that point I've lost the fetch's usefulness. However, they are a nice upgrade path, and as I go further with this deck, they will be a nice investment. I will probably get them circa March next year, as they will be just out of Standard, and theoretically a bit lower still in price. As for the Wurmcoil Engine, again it is pricy, and the only way to drop the price enough is to cut Spellskites or Tezzeret, Agent of Bolases, and at that point we have lost important control pieces. This deck focuses on 5/5 Artifact creatures, while Wurmcoil is fantastic, I do not think it belongs in this deck.

Can I suggest Executioner's Capsule as a tezzeret-able removal spell? Also, I think you should consider some of the mana-rocks, in the form of Talisman of Dominance and Talisman of Progress.
Another good card to have as a one-of is Trading Post. Seems kinda silly, does way too much to ignore.
Yes, I also have a U/B Tezzeret deck. I love it, but I'm going to be adding white or green to the deck soon.

Executioner's Capsule feels like a worse Doom Blade, as I have to spend more to cast it, and if I keep it for taking out attackers, they are warned, also, it can't kill Bob

I understand that, but you can get it with Tezzeret, and you can't get Doom Blade with him. Also, the Capsule hits Emrakul, where Doom blade does not.

I realize you have a bunch of drops at 1, 2 and 3 but I still think Chalice of the Void is good here. At least game 1 against Delver or burn it can create a huge problem that the opponent wans't ready to deal with.

Hi kengiczar, this is a "budget" version of Tezzeret, so I didn't include it, However I do see the merit of a Chalice of the Void, so, her is my question to you: is it worth cutting Spellskite for Chalice?

very nice deck, breaking traditional boundaries of how a control deck functions.

Is Daybreak Coronet too trolly, since it on an ensoulled artifact creature seems very good.
I also think you need some heavy protection on your wincons. If that's Vault Skirge, maybe as a topper with Tezzy, you could use an Ojutai's Command to get it back and get another ability, or an Apostle's Blessing. As for cards in your hand for the bridge, the usual hand disruption is good. My only issue with that, is since control wants to hold up cards, bridge isn't as good, unless I am mistaken and Tezzerator (which I know about shit about) is more of a tapout control deck. Is Norn's Annex or Ghostly Prison a card you'd consider?
Another thing; is there a way you can gain tons of life? That could help you win the long game or stall long enough.

Ghostly Prison was never a part and won't be, Norn's Annex was in here originally, but was cut for underperforming, and coming in too late to do ANYTHING. Grinding on Tezzeret isn't a problem. I am about to replace Ichor Wellspring with Thirst for Knowledge, due to the way it's rulings work. Tezzeret isn't a traditional draw-go control deck. Running on an empty hand is fine, because Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas digs as we need him to. I am considering adding Metallurgeon and some other cards. Thanks for the suggestions though

I'd say replace the Signets with the Talismans. You can add colorless mana with the Talismans, but you have to spend 1 to get 2 mana of the two colors with the Signets, which may not be in the right configuration for the spell you want to cast.

I am a golden god! I have to have my tools. nice deck +1

Nice budget variation! I wonder if you could find room for a single Chalice of the Void and stay under budget? Combos nicely with Trinket Mage.

Hi ynalak7. Thanks for that. I initially had a Chalice of the Void, but I cut it because the deck is primarily one and two drops, and every game it hurt me just as much, if not more, than my opponent. I'll reconsider it though. Thanks for the suggestion

Maybe take out Buried Ruin and replace them with Academy Ruins?

What do you think of trading Thirst for Knowledge for a cheaper Anticipate?

Um, I'm not sure really. The thing with thirst is that late game, it turns my mana rocks into card advantage. Also, Thirst for Knowledge has a Tezzeret on it. Lol. But yeah. Anticipate MAY be more correct with 3-5 less artifacts. But even then, Telling Time is usually more useful. But thirst can net us three cards, and lose 1 rock, 1 useless hate card, or 2 useless lands from my hand, whereas with anticipate, I am getting 1 card. Max. Yes it's one mana cheaper, but here, with nearly 20 artifacts? Also, what if I shuffle my Library. Thirst for Knowledge is the better dig spell, for now, for me.
