The Reason for GREEN
I like Green because of Collected Company ( I know.. I know.. But its to good not to use. )
But Green also opens up more options for spells, such as;
Abzan Charm -- utility-- Card draw, Exiles those hangarback walkers, Or pump board.
Abzan Ascendancy -- Helps keep our board full. also, when played buffs our board.
Dromoka's Command -- Is a given.
Note... I Like Abzan Ascendancy In this brew because of the control match ups. Or Just against board wipes period. It gives us something to play with after getting reset.
The one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb would be Thalia's Lieutenant, I Know, she isnt a warrior... but If you've noticed.. The rest of our Warriors are HUMANS! So you can play her, buff your board.. Or play her then hit Collected Company And start pumping her up! I like the versatility.
I'v considered red .
Yes. I know about Kolaghan's Command ,
Zurgo Bellstriker
,
Mardu Charm
The Question is,
Is it worth it? With Collected Company You're just slamming creatures onto the board from your library on their END STEP! Leaving your hand free to cast those creatures you're holding on your next turn then swinging real wide and big!
CONSIDERATIONS --
Obelisk of Urd --
I see it in a majority of warrior theme'd decks but I just dont know if it fits, It just seems like a brick that yes, Later pays off.. But This is deck is supposed to play fast.. Which means I dont like the thought of tapping our guys to pay for it..
Den Protector --
Yes, is amazing and unblock able in alot of scenarios.. but I didn't want to add more green cost spells than needed. Wanted to reliably be able to cast our creatures. A 1x silver bullet copy may be worth main boarding, but I prefer consistency.
Warden of the First Tree --
He becomes a warrior, it's just to bad he doesn't start off as a warrior.
Metallic Mimic --
He may just end up in the main board, because as he enters you can choose warrior as the chosen type. That means all warriors would come into play with a +1/+1 counter attached to him/her. That kind of potential makes him a serious contender...
Inspiring Call --
May be a suitable spell for us to card draw with, all while providing protecting for our warriors.
Renegade Rallier --
He fits the bill. He's a Human and a warrior, plus, Revolt could be super good in this sort of deck,( low to ground high threats )
