With this deck, take control of Elspeth's Army to crush your opponents. This white soldier deck will be sure to annoy your meta and is a hell of a lot of fun to play.

Main tip for this deck: Don't forget about the legendary rule.

An example game:

T1: Plains, Kytheon, Hero of Akros

T2: Plains, Raise the Alarm, swing for 2

T3: Plains, Field Marshal, swing for 7, transform Kytheon, +1 protect Field Marshal or a token.

T4: Plains, 2x Honor of the Pure, make gideon a 7/7 soldier, attack with everything for 19 damage.

or

T4: Plains, Launch the Fleet strive , Brave the Elements, make gideon a soldier, swing for 17 unblockable (assuming all creatures defending share a colour).

Of course these are unrealistic and there will likely be a whole bunch of removal around/ threats you'll need to deal with using path. You'll probably be forced to Brave the Elements earlier and sideboard accordingly.

  • Supreme-Commander Elspeth, Knight-Errant - The supreme commander can +1 Bring a soldier into battle; great for blocking and more damage, +1 +3/+3 and flying, helping get some damage through and strengthening her forces, or -8 protect her legion with indestructible. She is the centre of the deck and for manages to keep the deck's CMC low.

  • General Kytheon, Hero of Akros   - It won't take long before he becomes Gideon, Battle-Forged. Meaning a costing 4/4 Indestructible soldier who can protect and untap another soldier, or force an enemy creature to attack him rather than Elspeth. A truly skilled fighter who can protect his soldiers and his Supreme commander. The makings of a General.

  • Brigadier Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit - Bolstering the army to greatness, she balances the weaknesses of the legion. She will help the rest of the army get out of Lightning Bolt range.

  • Battalion-Leader Brimaz, King of Oreskos - Both offensively and Defensively, Brimaz can produce tokens, increasing the legion's size. The boost in morale he provides will always aid the legion.

  • Champion Hero of Bladehold - When hope seems lost, Elspeth chooses to send her best fighter. When the Hero attacks, soldiers rally by her side. She charges forth and boosts the power of the entire legion to finish the opponent. She makes coming back from a Supreme Verdict speedy. Even though she isn't a soldier herself, her ability to produce 2 1/1 soldiers makes her a perfect fit to this deck in my eyes.

  • Precinct Captain - This soldier's fighting capabilities makes him a valuable member of the legion. First strike will make very valuable defensively. When commanded to attack, should he be left unblocked, he will increase the size of the legion.

  • Field Marshal - He boosts the entire forces' power and toughness making even the weaker of soldiers that much more dangerous. With his guidance, the rest of the forces skill in battle increases with first strike.

I will likely add a Thalia, Heretic Cathar When Eldritch Moon is released.

  • Brave the Elements - Either lets damage through for lethal, or protects our creatures.

  • Honor of the Pure - Strengthens all our creatures. Extremely dangerous for the opponent as our Raise the Alarm now gives us two 2/2's.

  • Path to Exile - Removal spell for white. if Swords to Plowshares were modern legal we'd opt for that however this is the best modern has to offer at the moment. Gets rid of any nasty threats very effectively.

  • Return to the Ranks - With plenty of tokens, convoking means you'll easily get back a lot of your forces.

  • Raise the Alarm - instant speed blockers that are pumped by Field Marshal and Honor of the Pure. Play and double block and kill a creature the opponent thought would survive or play at the end of the opponent's turn to provide two summoning sicknessless (its a word right?) creatures ready for battle on your turn.

  • Launch the Fleet - This card works as an amazing finisher. Each attacking creature spits out another 1/1 white soldiers tapped and attacking. With boosts from Honor of the Pure and field marshall this card can be lethal.

= Aether Vial - Is a pretty obvious choice. Being able to essentially flash in creatures to block and increase board presence is a significant advantage.

I appreciate any suggestions and support.
