Thassa is the best commander, and I'm here to convince you.

WHY THASSA? First of all, she's INDESTRUCIBLE and not even a creature until 5 devotion. You know what sucks? Building a deck around a commander and then having it removed immediately. Thassa doesn't worry about that BS. Second, her flicker ability is just plain fun. Third, she has the rare flicker effect of flickering anything you control back under your control. Let's explore why that makes her the best thief in the multiverse.

Stealin' Shit Because Thassa returns a creature you control to the battlefield under your control, you can use something like Vedalken Shackles to take control of a creature, flicker it with Thassa, and then you control the creature indefinitely. The creature comes back as a completely new object, so the shackles don't "see" this creature. This frees up the Shackles to use again on your next turn.

So, this deck uses Chamber of Manipulation , Domineering Will , Ray of Command (yes blue has threaten abilities), Roil Elemental , Sower of Temptation , and Vedalken Shackles to steal, and then flickers the creatures with Thassa to make those conditional/temporary effects unconditional and permanent thievery.

Of course, this deck also has plain ol' Agent of Treachery , Bribery , and Mass Manipulation to just steal things on there own, just to stay on brand of course. Pretty much everything else in the deck is just utility until your opponents lose from completely broken spirits.
