Recycle is super risky though. If they have you discard your cards, you are basically doomed, so be extremely careful if you do play it.

Oh I remember you saying you wanted removal of some kind, the only thing I can really think of other than ulamog is Beast Within but I don't know if that's what you are looking for...

Maybe use Primordial Hydra or Mistcutter Hydra or Heroes' Bane to spend all that mana with!

The new hydra coming out would be pretty boss with this deck. It monstrousess and you can tap green and x x and get a ton of hydras if say you have already 20 or 39 lands. Maybe some island hate? That one that makes islands unplayable or something? Primeval Titan could thin your deck for you.

Whoops forgot Titan was banned in edh forget that last part.

Don't know why, but this makes me feel that making an edh build with valkut as the general and the rest mountains would be fun.....

Recycle would be absolutely amazing in this deck. You need a couple more win-cons. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger , and many more options. Just seems like a couple of well placed counters can make it so you can not win.

All in all having a deck with 80 lands makes it incredibly dependent on just a few cards on the field, thus making it very bad against any sort of control. A sad fact of life but a fact nonetheless.

I also agree with the win-cons, I just ordered all the cards on the maybelist and will follow up to see what works and what doesn't, ill probably be adding a hydra from nix when I get my booster box.

I've seen this happen before, so here's a bit of synergy within the deck that can almost instantly cause your opponents to concede;

• Take out a forest for Strip Mine or Wasteland

• Take something else out to put in Crucible of Worlds

• Play Azusa, Lost but Seeking

• Laugh as you destroy a minimum of 3 lands per turn.

have you ever had a problem with topdecking into lands? This is me being curious and I realized that it could be a massive issue here...

Her -7 is: Search your library for any number of Basic Land cards and put them on the Battlefield, those become 4/4 Elementals until end of turn. (Maybe with a slightly different wording :p)

Topdecking lands does happen a lot and it definitely does become a problem. If I can hit something that lets me draw then im pretty screwed but thats just this deck haha

Hey Mister_H! This deck has been an inspiration to me and my EDH. I took a beginning from your deck and added my own twist to it. A few additions that have made this almost essential for myself personally are such:

Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary - This one card just doubled your mana. Too good not to have!

Akroma's Memorial - Turn every creature you have into a threat that the other guy has to worry about.

Seedborn Muse - This plus Omnath will make an INSANE combo. You are constantly pumping him up. Even this plus Helix Pinnacle will get you the win.

Crucible of Worlds + Strip Mine I know this combo has been mentioned previously, but I put it in my deck and I have to say it is worth it. You will starve the other person and they will hate you for it! Also, Crucible of Worlds is a great way to get your lands back in case you get a creature wipe from any lands that were awakened by Liege of the Tangle .

Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger This card not only doubles your lands, but also mana starves the other person because they can only untap their land every other turn. Skews things in your favor quickly.

There's a lot of other cards, but these are the main ones that have made all the difference for me.
