Undergrowth and Spore Flower would be a couple suggestions I could make.

@Didgeridooda: Thanks for the suggestions!

I don't think I could use the Spore Flower ; sure it's a repeatable Fog every three turns but it'll eat a removal spell as soon as it's convenient for the opponent, and I don't want to commit a Dissipate to protecting it.

The Undergrowth is cool for 2HG if my teammate is playing red creatures, but it'd require me to splash red mana; otherwise it's just a Fog with an ability that I can't use. My mana base won't support that, I'm afraid.

It is all good. I just wanted to throw those out there. I made a fog deck a while ago, and they were in there. Those newer fogs are much better though. Moment's Peace , and Tangle . I stopped playing the first time before those came out. Spore Flower does not really fit in your deck, but it is my favorite fog. I have a thallid deck(from when fallen empires was out) and I ran that and Fungal Bloom . I still have it, it is a fun deck that I use to play against newer players. It is not super strong so it keeps it more fun.

If you need cards for digging, how about: Fact or Fiction , Glimpse the Future , Forbidden Alchemy , Steam Augury , or Uncovered Clues ?

There are a lot of options other than Augur of Bolas if you're looking for dig.

You could even go with Jace, Architect of Thought , but those won't be cheap until after Return To Ravnica rotates out...

hey i forgot to ask you, but how come you never decided to run Isochron Scepter ? if i were you, i would be running a whole freakin playset and changing Dissipate to a counter spell that cost 2.

  • i mean for god's sake, look at all the freakin options for that scepter.

  • so, seriously, add 4. i think Increasing Confusion is not very well-placed. i mean, how often do you see yourself with sufficient mana worthy to cast it and still have 1-4 left over for their turn? it doesn't seem probable. as for the other 3 to insert somewhere, i am uncertain at the time. but you should DEFINITELY run 4. you need the consistentcy. Plus, once you get a Fog on one it would be nice to scepter a Cyclonic Rift , or even better, a Brainstorm :D or EVEN better, once you changed Dissipate to Counterspell , that would be fucking mean to scepter; but then again, you are trying piss your friends off. So THE HELL WITH THEM!

anyways, i thought i recommended it in the past, maybe it was overlooked. But thanks for the shoutout in your description :D

@Dreno33: It's a valid concern and there's two reasons.

  • Budget

  • I think the scepter is one of the lamest cards in magic history.

@xVisage: Fact or Fiction does appeal to me, but the thing about Augur of Bolas is that, while it won't give me multiple spells, it'll usually hit something, with me running 26 instants/sorceries, and it either blocks decently for a two drop, or eats a kill spell which uses my opponent's resources.

Anything that isn't spent to kill me, I thrive off.

Dallie - according to your current deck title, that's a hypocritical statement :P

@Dreno33: Everyone hates hypocrites, so it actually supports my deck's goal. (Or something xD)

Nah, I just don't feel like shelling out 24 dollars for a playset, and I don't even know which swap I would make. Maybe some amount of my draw/mill mechanics...
