Just wanted to add to your description to say that if you cast Glimpse the Sun God or Gridlock on your declare attack step, you can target their stuff and yours all for free with Battlefield Thaumaturge , since they don't say "untapped permanents."

Yeah MSU_Iced_Z that's the way I was thinking about using that combo. It'd pan out really nice that way, Just have to watch out for the hard counters, Although that's why Judge's Familiar is for

Any plans to utilize Precinct Captain ? Or is it too close to rotation to think about using something that'll only be in Standard for another few months?

I thought about it and I decided to go against him because he'll be gone in a little while. But i'll have to keep my eye out for something similar. Hopefully with the new set, Maybe something they haven't spoiled lol.

Nice touch with Ephara, God of the Polis . A couple of observations:

The mana curve seems a bit high with only 20 lands, considering you want to keep mana open for Battlefield Thaumaturge to tap down their creatures. Also, Elspeth, Sun's Champion will be almost impossible to cast consistently with such few lands. Take a look at my control heavy version, ERMAHGERD it's THERMATURGE!. I have spent hours playtesting and it works surprisingly well, you might get an idea or two from it.

great deck, I run a different kind of heroic w/u deck, but with the new set coming out I will need to makes some changes. I just might try this direction and see how it goes.
