Who was it that told me how bad Grisly Salvage would be in this deck just yesterday?

Sure. Grisly salvage is good in the deck.. But the deck is not good for fnm magic. Atleast not places where they play the meta. Too much graveyard hate and too slow to fight the good aggro decks. I will say that I like the concept.

Angeldeck05 you're quite right about fnm magic, it won't stand up to graveyard hate. However, I'd still like that to be an eventual goal. Also, grave hate can be sideboarded against and that's another thing I'd like help with. I'm in the process of updating the description as well, forgive me for any errors there xD

Alright. I would cut the Mantis riders and the commune with the gods.. Too many times you might wiff the spell on getting the cromanticore and even if you get it, You don't really want it in your hand. I would consider Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or 4x Fauna Shaman to hit your combo better.. Discarding a cromaticore to get a flayer just seems too sweet to pass up. Also you might want to consider playing ligering souls as you can play it from your graveyard. Dark deal is another card to consider.. Since it might push you ahead early in the game.

If you want creatures to with soulflayer I would cut the mantis riders you can't cast for: Drogskol Reaver, Akroma, Angel of Wrath, Sphinx of the Steel Wind, Chromanticore, The double strike on Drogskol reaver is just insane on a 4/4 with flying and lifelink.. And you might want to consider noble heirach for fixing your mana base. Exalted seems like sweet upside when you are building up a single creature..

Dakmor Salvage + Raven's Crime - make an opponent discard each turn. Raven's Crime also works excellently with Life from the Loam because you can keep discarding an opponent's entire hand. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth would be good too as you have quite a few colourless lands and its helps you pay for Raven's Crime. Lastly, Life from the Loam works really well with both Tectonic Edge and Ghost Quarter. Also Darkblast is great too. Cast it before draw step, then dredge it and cast it again to give a creature -2/-2. <3

5 Inch wide sock would be good in this deck.

Life from the Loam + Raven's Crime is very very good.

Also I highly recommend using Smallpox and then setting up your lands so that you will always have access to on turn 2. This can be done by elimenating all lands that don't produce .

Basically for shocks I would want nothing but Overgrown Tomb and Godless Shrine. If you throw in 4x your 4x Verdant Catacombs and 3x Marsh Flats give you an artificial 11 sources this way which should be adequate.
