I just spent the past hour putting my apostle edh on this site. i built it almost immediately after m14 dropped and have updated many times since then. hopefully you can see what works for me and get some ideas as well. check it out : EASIEST EDH EVER!!! +1 if you like it.

(and it took me around an hour b/c my son decided to press the power button on the damn computer right as i was filling in the last few lines. Making me have to do it twice!) LOL

Needs more apostles. Remove some bad demons for them mebe. I mean, c'mon, Spirit of the Night? With 1 in 4 cards as apostles, you will need to have drawn 25 cards from your deck before you could activate your apostles.

Noted. I tried adding 3 more Apostles and moving Spirit of the Night, Desecration Demon, and Indulgent Tormentor out into the sideboard for now. Any other demons you feel aren't pulling their weight?

if you want my honest opinion of what you don't need and what you do: you can get rid of Blood Host too mana intensive and not a demon. Carnifex Demon is a maybe b/c it isn't going to do a lot of boardwiping with 2x -1/-1 except get rid of all your own apostles and your commander. Champion of Stray Souls isn't AMAZING because he's not a demon( if he was, he'd be awesome as a late game get your apostles back) but he's A LOT on the mana curve! Extractor Demon is used in a mill shell which this clearly isn't. Hellcarver Demon helps when you have no hand but why else are you fetching him? Village Cannibals can be replaced by a better card that I'll get into in a sec. Shrivel should go for either Toxic Deluge or Black Sun's Zenith (avacyn hate!!!) Quest for the Gravelord doesn't have any amazing win cons to it. You get one creature from it. So things i'd recommend: MORE APOSTLES! lol Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Attrition, Rotlung Reanimator (Village Cannibals replacement), Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Seizan, Perverter of Truth, Coat of Arms or Door of Destinies, Sol Ring, and Rune-Scarred Demon. Rune-Scarred Demon is probably the most useful out of all the demons in your deck. if you can only get 6 apostles out to tutor for 1 demon, you get him to get Thrumming Stone so you can go empty your deck of apostles as quickly as possible! This is just my opinions. Take from it what you like!

You need to think about "combos" in your deck. This could be as simple as Thrumming Stone+Shadowborn Apostle+Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Or you can get into some more complicated ones like Sanguine Bond+Blood Artist+Exquisite Blood+sacking or destroying any creature!! I mean you can go however far your imagination (and wallet) will allow. Good Luck!!! I'm really happy to see someone else playing apostles!!!

All good suggestions. I might consider Door of Destinies rather than Coat of Arms, as I want my Apostles to stay 1/1s to get Shizo's effect. Rotlung Reanimator is like another Xathrid Necromancer, which is always welcome. I've switched this back to prototype while I play around with it some more. Thanks again for all the suggestions!
