Since Khans changed modern so much I decided to move away from Splinter Twin and towards Birthing Pod. This is the Angel Pod version designed by Kevin Grove with my own changes, dropping Melira, Sylvok Outcast in favor of more impactful creatures that work well together. It has game against every deck in the format and it will be the most stable if there is a ban in the near future. The Melira, Sylvok Outcast combo has been removed due to extreme vulnerability to Lightning Bolt, which is very popular since Delver decks are putting up good numbers with Treasure Cruise. There is still the combo with Archangel of Thune and Spike Feeder because it is harder to disrupt and the combo cards are actually relevant at other points of the game. Life gain is very strong right now with Storm, Delver, and Scapeshift being popular so having access to these creatures gives us an edge in those games with the possibility of a combo kill. Additionally, we get to play Siege Rhino, one of the best cards to come out of Khans. It dodges most common forms of removal, is a huge beater, and has a sweet ETB ability, which can be abused with Restoration Angel. The sideboard is subject to change depending on how the meta changes but for the most part it will have more disruption to improve the combo matchups.
