Deck Results:

Dragon's Maze Gameday with Blastocrats (3-2):

Match 1 vs. Orzhov Lifegain (0-2): Obzedat and Blood Baron both have a great matchup vs. my deck and were able to gain him enough life to stay alive both games.

Match 2 vs. Nobody (Bye): Was my first time playing this deck so I was upset with the Bye, I wanted to play the deck more.

Match 3 vs. Naya Midrange (2-1): His deck was based around lifegain, but he didn't have any answers to my spirit tokens/blood artist.

Match 4 vs. Naya Humans (0-2): Should have been a good matchup for me, but I was stuck on 2 lands one game and the other game came 1 turn shy of winning.

Match 5 vs. Golgari Aggro (2-0): He was shocked that he lost to Blasphemous Act/Reckoner combo game 1 and then game 2 he kept a 1 lander and didn't draw well.

Overall I really liked playing the deck, TONS of fun. I also decided to add 2x Blind Obedience, 2x Warleader's Helix and 2x Pillar of Flame to my sideboard because of the large amount of Gruul Aggro decks I noticed on Gameday.

First FNM with Blastocrats (3-1):

Match 1 vs. Golgari Midrange (2-0): It was my opponent's first ever FNM and he didn't have any threatening cards in his deck, giving me an easy 2-0.

Match 2 vs. Golgari Control (0-2): This was a disaster, he had 4 Mutilate, 4 Curse of Death's Hold and 4 Tragic Slips, my chances were very slim.

Match 3 vs. Omnidoor (2-1): Match 1 he got set up perfectly, Match 2 I had a turn 4 Blasphemous Act for the win, Match 3 I barely pulled out the victory with an Overload of creatures.

Match 4 vs. RUG Midrange (2-1): Izzet Staticaster did work in his deck, killing all my spirit tokens and Blood Artists, but in 2 of the games I was too fast for him.

Overall was quite a good FNM for me. Afterwards I playtested vs. Gruul Aggro in hopes that my sideboard would hold up, but I didn't see any of the cards I had sided in. I guess I'll have to wait to see if they are enough to beat the aggro decks in the meta.

Second FNM with Blastocrats (3-0-1):

Match 1 vs Azorius Control (2-1): Lost Game 1 due to an overflow of mana, but after sideboard was a really good matchup for me.

Match 2 vs. Rakdos Aggro (2-1): Sideboard worked wonders for me as Blind Obedience & Blasphemous Act wrecked his deck.

Match 3 vs. Esper Control (2-1): Had a couple misplays during this matchup, but Nephalia Drownyard allowed me to continually have spirit tokens on the field which led to my victory.

Match 4 vs. Gruul Aggro (Draw): We were both 3-0 and decided to draw and then play for first place packs, which I won 2-0 due to having a very good sideboard vs. Aggro Matchup and making proper plays.

I was happy to win an FNM with Aristocrats as it's a very fun deck to play with and has proven to be quite competitive. No changes made to the deck afterwards as it played as well as it could have.

Third FNM with Blastocrats (2-2):

Match 1 vs. Aristocrats (2-1): The mirror matchup was lots of fun, Blood Artist and 2 Tragic Slips in my Game 3 opening hand was enough to get me there.

Match 2 vs. American Control (0-2): He miracled his one-of Terminus 2 games in a row...

Match 3 vs. American Midrange (2-0): Game 1 I ended up with 3 Blood Artists on board, and game 2 he was stuck with 1 land.

Match 4 vs. Rakdos Aggro (0-2): Bad luck and a couple of sideboard errors cost me the match.

Overall I felt like the deck should have performed better, so I made some major changes:

Mainboard:

-3 Skirsdag High-Priest

-1 Orzhov Guildgate

+3 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad

+1 Vault of the Archangel

Sideboard:

-2 Warleader's Helix

-3 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad

+3 Mark of Mutiny

+1 Assemble the Legion

+1 Sin Collector

Fourth FNM with Blastocrats (5-0):

Match 1 vs. Boros Aggro (2-0): Cartel Aristocrat put in a lot of work for me as I was able to easily trade for his 2/2 creatures and put lingering soul tokens in front of Reckoners and sacrificing them.

Match 2 vs. Jund Aggro (2-0): My deck performed very well against him and cards like Tragic Slip were great against his Lotleth Troll & Varolz.

Match 3 vs. Naya Humans (2-1): This was my closest match of the night, game 3 I top decked a Falkenrath Aristocrat for the win.

Match 4 vs. BG Zombies (2-0): Sorin & Tragic Slip were great in this match up which had some very long and fun games.

Match 5 vs. Red Deck Wins (2-1): Aggro seemed to be the trend of the night and I was luckily able to pull out another victory against another fast deck.

Overall, I found much improvement in the deck after main-boarding Sorin, Lord of Innistrad as the 1/1 Lifelink Tokens can chump block creatures and Sorin himself can help take the target off of me.

Fifth FNM with Blastocrats (4-0-1):

Match 1 vs. American Control (2-1): I was too fast for him Game 1 and in Game 3 he had to mulligan to 5 and had few options.

Match 2 vs. Esper Control (2-0): Game 1 I was too fast for him and Game 2 he was stuck without a second white mana source and had 3 Verdicts in hand.

Match 3 vs. American Control (2-0): Game 1 I was once again too fast for him to handle, Game 2 Zealous Conscripts was great as I took control of his Jace, Architect of Thought. Obzedat also put in work for me, allowing me to win the game off enter the battlefield triggers.

Match 4 vs. Naya Blitz (2-1): Game 1 I managed to outrace him, Game 2 I blasphemous acted into a Boros Charm and lost, Game 3 Blasphemous Act cleared the board and Sorin was able to get up to ultimate, winning the game for me.

Match 5 vs. Gruul Aggro (Draw): Since we had the top 2 slots, we decided to draw and play for first place. Game 1 he was too fast for me, but luckily I had 7 1-drop removal spells post sideboard that were able to do enough damage for me to win the last 2 Games.

Overall, I liked how my deck played tonight, but I felt that opponents having bad luck was more than half of my reason for winning. Zealous Conscripts was amazing against American Control as it has the ability to take Planeswalkers until the end of the turn.

Sixth FNM with Blastocrats (3-0-1):

Match 1 (Bye)

Match 2 vs. American Midrange (2-1): Very close games but Sorin & Lingering Souls were able to win it for me.

Match 3 vs. Gruul Aggro (2-0): Game 1 I won off Blasphemous Act, and Game 2 he was stuck on 2 lands.

Match 4 vs. Gruul Aggro (Draw): We decided to draw for the top 2 spots and play for packs, in which he beat me 2-1 in those games.
