That sucks about TC... :(
This is by far one of my favorite Soldier / Human Aggro decks I've seen in a while.
Nice Job! +1
Also, about the Mentor of the Meek...I have almost NEVER had any problems with him and Honor, but one problem I have had, is that I sometimes don't have enough mana to activate his ability. Sometimes I do, but others, I have spent all of my mana on spells that turn to use him effectively. I am thinking of switching him out for another card that would fit better.
It's all your opinion. If you are more careful about what you cast, and end up having enough mana to use Mentor's ability, then go ahead and run him. If you're like me and just throw out the best and biggest creature I can afford, then I wouldn't recommend it. I find Mentor to be more for a control-ish midrange deck.
But it's all your opinion!
I hope this helped!

Eulogyi, I realy appreciate the suggestions :P However, I don't think I will be spending 20 a pop on Leyline of Sanctity as it will be a sideboard card and I have a budget option already in place. After the deck is complete, sure, I'll slowly acquire them, but for now, Aegis of the Gods will work. I'm not so sure about Sundering Growth and Grafdigger's Cage (now that Pod is banned). Blind Obedience is on my radar, along with the creature version, Imposing Sovereign. Mark of Asylum is fantastic and will be added in the side.
lotusofblackness, thank you for taking the time to answer my question and liking my deck as much as you do. You completely answered my question on Mentor of the Meek and I've decided not to add him in.
I seem to be having a hard time finding the Ally Creatures ( Hada Freeblade and Kazandu Blademaster ). I'm thinking, since I'd rather not order online, about replacing them with either Boros Elite or Soldier of the Pantheon and Accorder Paladin or Daring Skyjek and 1 or 2 copies of Transcendent Master. Would this make the deck stronger, or weaker in your guys opinions?

Maybe Gather the Townsfolk to super trigger Champion of the Parish...
February 1, 2015 1:16 p.m.
The thing with Gather the Townsfolk is that it doesn't produce a Knight it Soldier. If I were to put a token producing spell in it would probably be Raise the Alarm because it is also an instant.
If I were to put either in, what would you suggest on taking out?

I know its expensive, but you must admit Sword of Fire and Ice is fantastic on Mirran Crusader rendering a lot of fantastic removal useless

Yesssssssss if only if only.... Sigh. I'd also like a copy of Sword of Light and Shadow

I would go with Fiend Hunter instead of Banisher Priest. While you are sacrificing 1 extra power, you gain an extra defense against most of the 1-2 power creatures. It's just a suggestion, but I feel it would help.

I've considered it. Sure it puts me out of bolt range with a Honor of the Pure out, but if I'm playing against burn, I'm not going to be worried about removing creatures so much. As this deck is much more aggressively oriented, I feel that +1 power is needed, and makes a nicer target for a bound. Silverblade Paladin than Fiend Hunter

I'm kinda scratching my head over why you have dawn charm in your deck. I think those slots would be much better used by having AEther Vial. I'm also surprised that you haven't considered green because of Hamlet Captain. Moreover if you add green you also get access to all of the selesnya colored knights from alara, like Knight of the Reliquary. With her you could tutor up the flagstones or if you added Gavony Township you can grab that with her as well.

I think I didn't think about G/W so much because I'm already playing boggles and this just slipped my mind. You do give me something to think about. However I have and been scratching my head as to why Knight of Reliquary is considered to be Good. Okay, I can see with fetches, but my budget doesn't really call for acquiring fetches. Want to help me out on that?

It thins your deck and can search for non basic lands. Think of it this way sac flagstones with her to search up another flagstones and a plains. That pulls two lands out of your deck by tapping a single creature not to mention the fact that she is now bigger. Or you could just grab any number of utility lands. Playing against tron? Grab ghost quarter. Playing a longer game? Grab Gavony Township to just outlast them. All in all the utility offered is immense.

I also just realized that by adding green you can use Collected Company. This is just an idea though because it could serve as an alternative to the AEther vial.

That 5cc is a killer here. I'm weary of running both Hero and Elspeth together. Hero is actually mostly sided out game 2 in most cases. I do appreciate the suggestion though :)

Nice deck but Windbrisk Heights don't work well in decks that mostly have cheap spells. Rather put in Flagstones of Trokair. As for the Sideboard - consider Leyline of Sanctity, Grafdigger's Cage, Sundering Growth, Mark of Asylum and Blind Obedience.
