Do you know the frustration of playing Jund and have all your cards stripped from you? Well, this is quite similar. Path to Exile in the place of Terminate, Anguished Unmaking in the place of Maelstrom Pulse, Batterskull in the place of
Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
, Elspeth, Knight-Errant in the place of Liliana of the Veil, Snapcaster Mage in the place of Dark Confidant and Thing in the Ice
in the place of Tarmogoyf. You can found most of your creatures and spells using the transmute on Muddle the Mixture (it is also a good counterspell), and great wincon on TitI flip, Elspeth's buff and
Sorin, Grim Nemesis
that can win games basically alone. Esper Charm being great against Blood Moon, can Mind Rot your oponent to force them discard the creatures bounced by TiTI or Divination all at instant speed. Serum Visions as a substitute to Lightning Bolt (never underestimate land and card fixing) and running almost the same number of hand disruption, with the flashback mechanics maybe even more, Spellskite is here to back me up and since its a horror it wont be bounced by
Awoken Horror
, which is really good synergy with the snapies, bouncing them to use the ETB effect again can be serious trouble, using Ojutai's Command to get back my creatures and extra value just like Kolaghan's Command, token enablers on Elspeth and Lingering Souls for extra blocking or even offensive measures, Ojutai along with
Sphinx's Revelation
and Spellskite is your burn-proof package on main deck and speaking of Revelation, the end of turn card draws are highly relevant on this strategy, even game winning. Side deck counts some graveyard hate for dredge,
Leyline of Sanctity
for your burn, mill and jund matchups,
Curse of Death's Hold
can be back breaking agains infect, elves, merfolk and token strategies, Kataki, War's Wage and Stony Silence are for your affinity matchups (both fetchable with Muddle the Mixture ), Ghostly Prison agains swarm strategies like CoCo, Zoo and GW Humans type of decks, Surgical Extraction against combo decks like Scapeshift or Breach, storm and "one card trick" type of decks, Timely Reinforcements is another type of response to burn, zoo and such. Might add some
Logic Knot
to have more spell interaction.
So that's it, this is the Azorius house, Esper type of Jund deck, control your enemy's hand and board state, hit with big creatures, some planeswalker control and win the game. Enjoy, critics are always welcome, and if you like please upvote, it helps out a lot. Thanks, Aster signing out.
