Standard deck that is built around Master of Cruelties

Burn, meet your favorite creatures!

OBJECTIVE OF THIS DECK: Win with straight up creature combat or combo off after a Master of Cruelties trigger with several of direct damage options

Each of the creatures in this deck were carefully selected as they had built in evasion or deal direct damage to the opponent's life points for an "instant kill" after a Master of Cruelties trigger resolves. (The exception is Erebos, God of the Dead as he is an extra draw engine but also keeps my opponent from gaining life as well)

CREATURE SELECTIONS:

• Master of Cruelties = The "ringleader" of the bad boys. If he can attack unblocked then all I have to do is "ping" my opponent for the win afterward

• Gray Merchant of Asphodel = Can drain life from an opponent, which is ESPECIALLY awesome after MoC trigger

• Desecration Demon = built in evasion and is the best creature for his cost

• Obzedat, Ghost Council = Hard to remove, pings opponent each ETB trigger, and combos with Whip of Erebos nicely

• Hellhole Flailer = WHAT? This guy doesn't see standard play! Well he does here! A 3/2 that can "fling" himself is nothing to scoff at, and can be a 4/3 if unleashed for 3 mana

• Lifebane Zombie = built in evasion and is AWESOME with all of the Gruul decks running around

REMOVAL SUITE:

• Warleader's Helix = direct damage that gains me life in a pinch

• Dreadbore = versatile at taking out anything for 2 mana

• Devour Flesh = 2 drop removal that DOES gain them life, but I should have no problem making it up. Not to mention, setting life to 1 doesn't care HOW MUCH life one gains beforehand :)

MISC SUPPORT CARDS:

• Underworld Connections - draws me cards...adds to black devotion for Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Erebos, God of the Dead

• Boros Charm = protects against sweepers or else allows me to grant a creature double strike....not to mention it's 4 to the dome if I want it to be

• Rakdos's Return = Empties their hand if not kill them outright

• Whip of Erebos = reanimates a previously dead creature and adds to black devotion

• Thoughtseize = hand control

SIDEBOARD CHOICES:

• Doom Blade = Replaces Devour Flesh against gruul and any deck that doesn't run mostly black creatures

• blind obdience = Makes sure my opponent's creatures cannot block when I'm ready to attack AND gains me some life against aggressive decks. All I have to do is cast a spell and pay W/B to finish off an opponent after an MoC trigger resolves also

• Boros Charm = 2 more in sideboard to come in vs decks with board wipes

• Erebos, God of the Dead = With all the black devotion I have he's a no brainer. He also prevents an opponent from gaining life with is HUGE and gives me some extra card draw

• Mizzium Mortars = nice removal for Blood Baron of Vizkopa and can be overloaded for a one sided board wipe vs decks using alot of creatures

• Sire Of Insanity = comes in vs control decks to empty their hands each EoT and keep it that way

• Slaughter Games = Comes in vs control decks to remove their win cons before they can cast them like AEtherling

• Whip of Erebos = If someone is playing hand disruption, I want another chance to bring my dudes back
