KrlosPR Can you share your deck?

I tried this one for couple of games and i feel like firderinker satyr always playing against me, thoughts?

I have 19 lands (2 of them fetchlands cuz is all i got lol)

4x Monastery Swiftspear4x Akroan Crusader4x firedrinker Satyr3x Foundry street denizen4x War-name aspirant1x Arena Athlete4x Goblin Rabblemaster

4x dragon mantle2x hammerhand4x stoke the flames2x lightning strike4x titan strength 1x hall of triumph

Like i said before firedrinker satyr is a pain sometimes (yes i do hate it) but it's ok, last night i even took 8 damage to kill a Polikranos, the pump to make it 5-1 and the damage, it hurts but usually you are in the offensive, if you go defensive your probably not having a good match anyway lol. If it worries you too much you can use Satyr hopelite, is a common but with heroic it can become a permanent 3/3 on turn 2 and with swiftspear you can put more damage turn 2 than with firedrinker (on the right conditions) plus he will be a permanent 3/3 not like firedrinker and no draback, my friend likes him more also but i think it depends to much on heroic the deck, maybe with 4 hammerhands, 4 dragon mantles and 4 titan strength and some more things maybe it can work better.

in my red deck wins like to use thunderous might and i think this would work very well with your large creature base. Even though it is a 2 drop it is a great turn 3 play. Im probably gonna use ur sideboard becuase im just crap at making side boards. I never make side boards when i make my decks becuase i dont like having to remember to use the side board. ANYWAY this is pretty awesome and im glad to see there are other people making red deck wins for ktk

This deck feels like it needs a finisher. Maybe something like Trumpet Blast?

Why not Harness by Force instead of Act of Treason?

Also, have you tried Inferno Fist? I've gotten some good results with it.

what if i swapped out two Stoke the Flames for Searing Blood?

November 20, 2014 4:52 p.m.

i just realised i completely skipped that out when reading the side board, ignore me >.<

Hey guys, I'm still new to MTG so im sorry if my comment is noobish.

Does the ability on Dragon Mantle trigger the prowess ability on Monastery Swiftspear or does an actual card need to be played to trigger it?

Thanks!

Hey Joyous_Oblivion. Casting a Spell means playing a card. The Dragon mantel would be a triggered ability, so it would not activate the Monastery Swiftspear's Prowess ability

hi. i was just wondering on how can we make use of Wild Slash 's ferocious ability if we dont have creatures with 4 power. i mean, to do that, we need to pump up using Titan's Strength which we dont always have, or pump a Dragon Mantle using 3 mana assuming our creature is an Akroan Crusader. i think this card is much more suited in Temur decks.

Wild Slash still a one mana burn spell. The damage prevention doesn't occur often, but being able to kill Favored Hoplite and Seeker of the Way on the draw is invaluable. It's an efficient answer to RabblemSter and some of the new Jeskai dudes.

for me mardu scout is a must have it is a repeatable lightning strike and can trigger foundry street. another good card is collateral damage. i use it as a finisher and in a deck like this might as well be that new lighning bolt

It's not exactly a $20 deck - have the prices of the cards gone up, or is this just a spinoff of the previous (actually) $20 decks, with a less appropriate name?

Stoke the Flames used to be about $.075 but now it's $5.

It's also important to note that the price it displays includes shipping and handling when you order the entire deck off of TCGplayer. That adds a lot to the price. I think it's about $25-$30 without shipping costs.

February 8, 2015 9:25 a.m.

I think pure aggro would be better like Mono Red, cheap, hard and blazing fast , it's also cheaper to build, maybe throw in some burn and Monastery Swiftspear in the sideboard

Take out Firedrinker Satyr for Frenzied Goblin, and then take out Stoke the Flames for Roast and you got a game winning powerhouse. Other than that, awesome deck. +1 from me!
