What I will be running in rotation.
After a ton of playtesting and adjustments, this is fairly close to my final list. I have taken to a Rock approach, playing the hand destruction and removal game until I can resolve bomb 4 drop creatures. These creatures either smooth my draws, or sustain my life, and all of them are difficult to deal with. These creatures will hold the board state and allow me to delay until I resolve a game ending Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Garruk, Apex Predator or Nissa, Worldwaker.
25 land for a slightly higher curve and playing the control game.
3 different planeswalkers to stabilize and end the game
17 pieces of versatile game manipulation and removal targeting all points of the gamestate from 1 mana to 7 mana via strive (potentially 10).
14 creatures.
Reaper of the Wilds
: tough wall, hexproof, deathtouch, scry from all my removal!
Siege Rhino: Allstar in every match up, game breaking against aggressive low curve decks. What's better than a 4/5 trample for 2 mana and a Lightning Helix to the face for an additional 2 mana? :)
Sylvan Caryatid
: Ramp and fixing. must have in any green deck... except maybe mono green devotion.
Fleecemane Lion: efficient 3/3 2 drop with mana sink late game.. very effective against control, primarily here to slow down the aggressive decks while providing me with another option late game.
Sideboard:
Drown in Sorrow: Tokens / aggressive low toughness decks.
Wall of Essence
: absolute brick wall against aggro decks.I love this card over
Nyx-Fleece Ram
because Goblin Rabblemaster can power through any wall, but at least this one will gain me life and effectively buy me two attacks from the rabblemaster by blocking once. or give aggressive decks a difficult time to profitably attack.
Stain the Mind
: attacking people's win conditions.. still not sure what they are, but these will be key once defined.
Silence the Believers: Removal card advantage for any midrange match. nothing better than striving this puppy on your opponent's combat step and dropping his two strongest creatures from the game.
Tormod's Crypt: Sultai. Delve. Reanimator.
Utter End: Prime time remover of enchantments, artifacts, creatures and planeswalkers alike.
Duneblast: Great against any midrange deck, can be a serious blowout.
Reclamation Sage: adding some extra creatures against control while doubling as a way to remove Banishing Light,
Suspension Field
, Chained to the Rocks etc.Or any artifact based decks.
