When i first read that card i thought maybe, because what if i don't have a land in hand. how ever that card could have some amazing synergy in this deck.

-if i have Oboro, Palace in the Clouds on the field i can return it to hand to be put out by that or use that guy in combo with bounce lands and serji steppe to do some weird stuff great suggestion thankyou!

Have you considered Explorer's Scope ?

kylothian says... #6

No but that would work very well with say Steppe Lynx or the other land fall dudes. I shall consider it. thanks!

I don't like Birthing Pod In here since there are no infinite combos in here. I would take that out for either Scapeshift or Rampaging Baloths .

I also feel you have too many lands, 27 is a lot, even for a land based deck. I would go down to 25. In that slot, add maybe 2 Oracle of Mul Daya .

Great deck idea, +1

I wouldn't play the full four Scapeshift , because it is expensive. It mass landfalls, sure, but it's weak to counterspells and by the time you cast it you may have fetched most of your fetchable lands, making the cards you get worse at actually producing mana. Try those Khalni Heart Expedition , you can get two landfall triggers from that one card very cheaply and consistently.

If you feel you can ramp quickly, Avenger of Zendikar is a beatstick. Bloodghast becomes almost unkillable because it keeps coming back. Emeria Angel assembles a big flying army Turntimber Basilisk can work as a great removal spell.

yeah you are right ill cut those scapes down a few. The ramp in the deck is kinda spotty :( if i get a lotus cobra out there its amazing ,but otherwise its rather slow. so i'm trying to keep it under six mana for cards. And i tried the khalnis ,but they can only fetch basics and as the deck is I only have four so if I draw more than 1 or 2 of those the card is useless.

Emeria i had in there and will probably put her back though. she does make some massive armies.

now i had some new ideas for the deck.

I was thinking of adding more land search to the deck and then have a side board of lands like Boseiju, Who Shelters All to use against decks with counters and other stuff maybe put Arena into the actual deck as well as removal.

I am also thinking of playing cards like Rite of Consumption , Fling , and Surestrike Trident . my creatures get so large temporarily and swing but even if i give them protection from a color there can still be a creature on the field with a different color or like with the affinity decks all their creatures are colorless so they get blocked. If i just sac them and do damage when they are regularly getting to 12/12 I could do a lot of damage consistently in a short period of time .what do you think?

It's mana intensive. Also, if they counter the spell, you just sacrificed a creature for nothing. I'd rather just beat their face in.

So he swings with a large creature, they take it, and then Fling and win :D

or they go to remove the creature, fling

Play it then. :)

September 3, 2014 7:01 a.m.

I just noticed that GlistenerAgent: there aren't big creatures, this isn't legacy, and most importantly it doesn't run Show and Tell .
