Oh true. Im working toward modern instead, so Diffusion is what I gotta go with.
Thanks though. Also would stubborn denial be a good option for a counterspell?

Hi, I use a deck very similar to yours the only difference is that I use x4 Manaweft Sliver and x2 Sliver Legion the rest is the same. The only thing I don't like is that by turn 3-4 I always end up playing without cards in my hand because I can always cast everything on my hand and if the game does not end there I feel very limited only playing with just the card I draw. How do you overcome this, I have always felt that I need something to draw cards but the slivers for that just suck. Don't you feel the same?
October 26, 2014 10:44 p.m.
@GHOSTHOUND - By winning before my hand runs dry. This deck usually wins by turn 3-5. After that, then its a war of attrition.
I used to run 4x Manaweft Sliver and 2x Sliver Legion as well actually. I swapped em out to make it a little more aggressive. Those 2 cards will help you have a better late game though, just a less aggressive early game.

Hi, I am testing phantasmal image in the deck and it's working very good as another "lord" and with crystalline you don't have to worry about his negative effect. And another thing how are you gonna cast hivelord now without manaweft if you need it fast. With your current deck it is not a very viable sideboard option just saying.

@GHOSTHOUND - I've played around with Phantasmal Image , but I think his home is best in a more merfolk like sliver deck with some control, like this: Slivers Just Got Smart.. Although I do agree with your Sliver Hivelord in the sideboard comment. I'll have to put some thought into it.

@Angry_Fister AEther Vial does the same thing :)
Also, I removed Striking Sliver and made some room to try out Phantasmal Image as 4 of.

I think I just found my dream deck. Absolutely brutal.

decendeants path is almost a need in a sliver deck,
January 16, 2015 12:52 a.m.
@whiledpayne - This deck is so fast that Descendants' Path would slow it down. It costs more than all of my creatures and doesn't do anything for a whole turn. I'd rather play a sliver and swing.

not if your facing a rwu control deck, i play tested this deck agianst my rwu deck 3 times last night, first time it overwhelmed it. second and third time i was able to supreme verdict and stall the game and prevent slivers from entering the battle field. Decendants path should at the very least be a sideboard. also manaweft needs to be in there, idk f it was the draw or not but i had 4 or 5 lands and facing tech edge it really limited what i could do being alot of one or two drops. And if you add those manawfts, Sliver Hivelord

@whiledpayne - Cavern of Souls and AEther Vial make getting creatures out against RWU, or any other counter heavy deck very easy. It doesn't prevent board wipes like Supreme Verdict however, but this deck usually just flat wins before Supreme Verdict becomes a problem. If you're playing against a deck and you think they'll be wiping the board on turn 4, evaluate your hand and either be very aggressive and win by turn 4, or hold back and let him verdict 1-3 slivers and then swarm after he's wasted his verdict. (almost no legacy deck runs more than 1 Supreme Verdict) decendants path would not help against board wipes and I'm already very safe against counterspells.
As for Manaweft Sliver + Sliver Hivelord, I ran this combo for a while but it never came out and Sliver Hivelord is a dead draw without Manaweft Sliver already on the field. It's very powerful, but also very slow.
Aggro decks on the surface seem very straight forward. Play creatures, tap them, win. However that is not the case. You need to know what deck your playing against, be aware of how much mana they have, and be aware of what methods you can play creatures to prevent them from being countered. Cavern of Souls and AEther Vial makes 8 cards that make my casting slivers completely immune to counterspells. You also need to be aware of when they can cast certain spells, like Supreme Verdict and play around that. Make your board state threatening enough that they want to use it, but keep several cards in your hand to re-swarm after the expected wipe.
Also, this isn't the deck that I run any longer. I've long since switched to counter-slivers. Slivers Just Got Smart. is my main deck and it handles board wipes and other forms of removal significantly better. Anyways, thanks for your comment! I'm always looking to improve my builds, even if they aren't my primary ones.

what about Venom Sliver ? it goes well, with Striking Sliver . :P anyway , +1 from me
February 5, 2015 9:05 p.m.
@Kenthris - Venom Sliver and Striking Sliver kinda feel "win-more" compared to the other slivers in the deck. Though both are fun.

Might I suggest Door of Destinies to make your guys huge.
May 4, 2015 11:32 a.m.
@tmoran2006 - Between Leeching Sliver, Muscle Sliver, Sinew Sliver, Predatory Sliver, and Phantasmal Image my Slivers are always very threatening. Door of Destinies is just too slow since this deck wants to win by turn 4 rather than just get started by turn 4.
May 4, 2015 11:49 a.m.
@Dwall - too slow. This deck wants to win by turn 3-4. Crypt Sliver is mostly irrelevant that early in the game. Path to Exile and Swords to Plowshares are my biggest enemies and Crypt Sliver wouldn't even protect against those.
July 6, 2015 2:29 p.m.
Good point. Excellent deck tech though. Very smooth and consistent.
July 6, 2015 2:35 p.m.
@Dwall - Thanks! The text is a bit out-dated and shows cards that are no longer in the deck. I'll have to update it with my reasoning for the changes, I just haven't interacted with this deck in a while.

@dirtsniper - Crystalline Sliver is as bit better at that.
