This is a fairly typical rat based EDH deck. Overall you want to get started quickly and build up a relentless assault of increasingly scary rats.

In an ideal board you will churn out rats every turn that have: flying, deathtouch, trample,haste, indestructible, and red/black protection which is enough to make anyone fear the swarm.

A couple key combos in the deck:Thornbite Staff + Marrow-Gnawer is a two card infinite combo for infinite rats and which Grave Pact on the board is a board clear as well.

Soul Foundry + Relentless Rats allows you to put out very large rats if not dealt with which can draw away focus from some other high hate cards like Akroma's Memorial and Eldrazi Monument.

Marrow-Gnawer+Umbral Mantle OR Illusionist's Bracers OR Thousand-Year Elixir AND Rings of Brighthearth let you activate his ability multiple times per turn until you can tutor out Thornbite Staff.

Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond a combo I keep in most of my black decks as an alternate win con. Make an opponent lose 1 life Blood Artist OR Consume Spirit OR Exsanguinate are good triggers for an infinite life loss combo.
