Sac targets:
Butcher Ghoul and Typhoid Rats are cheap creatures with utility that can be sacrificed to Yahenni, Undying Partisan or Demonlord of Ashmouth.
Typhoid Rats is a useful blocker, and Butcher Ghoul can be made larger easily enough.
Pawn of Ulamog also kind of fits here, since it's sort of its own sac engine. The eldrazi tokens' usefulness is self-explanatory.
Removal:
Bone Shards is useful for activating sac triggers and for cheap creature/planeswalker removal.
Gatekeeper of Malakir is another cheap sac trigger with a 2/2 attached.
Geth's Verdict is more useful early game, but is also good for thinning out board positions.
Tribute to Hunger is a good way of gaining some life along with activating triggers.
Big Swingers:
Demonlord of Ashmouth is the most efficient damage-dealer in this deck, and can be sacrificed to give it an extra +1/+1 as long as you have another creature out to sacrifice.
Mortician Beetle gains counters every time something is sacrificed, easy enough to understand.
Yahenni, Undying Partisan works as both a sac outlet and a companion to Mortician Beetle, gaining counters for every one of your opponent's dead creatures.
Other:
Profane Command gives great utility, especially if it's late game and your opponent is at a low life. The fear effect is good for playing non-black, non-artifact decks, and it can also be used for recursion and removal.
Village Rites is the main draw mechanic, plus another sac trigger.
Castle Locthwain is another draw mechanic, and its downside doesn't come up much since this deck doesn't have anything over CMC 4, so it's easy to get a lot of cards out of your hand really fast.
Whip of Erebos means you don't have to worry about your life total as much, and gives some temporary recursion as well.
Witch's Cottage is another recursion mechanic.
Sideboard:
Victim of Night for otherwise hard to remove creatures when Bone Shards isn't enough.
Mutilate for if you ever need a boardwipe.
Go for the Throat if you're playing against black and can't use Victim of Night.
