Grim Haruspex and Greed would be solid card draw options, and Haunted Crossroads is great utility.

I feel like this was in the deck before but i really like Soldevi Adnate in my shirei, its a little slow but a sac outlet that makes mana is always good in my book

I did have Soldevi Adnate in here but she was to slow. not saying it a bad card. I just wanted to kinda pull away from tap sacs and or pay for sacs. I probably have a few left in the deck but if i could weed them out for better i would.

would Putrid Goblin work? if he comes back with persist is he considered a 1 power at that point?

Cauldron of Souls is a cool one. If most of your stuff are 1/1's they come back instantly and die instantly again. so you get double death/ETB triggers

yup he would work. but he has no ETB or Death effects, which is why I don't think I'll put him in. I understand cannon fodder. but it seems like an empty card for aristocrats.

I will check out Cauldron of Souls and see how this plays out

So the more i play my Shirei deck the more i love the massive value of token makers like Marsh Flitter and now Sling-Gang Lieutenant that you can etb on everyone elses turn. They do so much work with cards like Pitiless Plunderer and Dictate of Erebos effects. Also starting to really like Desecrated Tomb. Sirei is the only deck i have never torn apart and turned into something else, still love it

dude i just found out Inkmoth Nexus and Blinkmoth Nexus will come back in this deck!! land recursion! if they were the 1/1's when they die

geosojda I bought Sling-Gang Lieutenant have yet to put him in. but yes the tokens are amazing. and the sac value as well. I find my self adding more and foiling the cards out as I go. My top fave deck along side my Selvala deck.

I use Dust Bowl to sac my Blinkmoth Nexus and Inkmoth Nexus to blow up lands. It’s 4 mana to do, but once shirei is going off mana usually isn’t an issue

Here are some thoughts from me:

If you are moving towards more cards that drain your opponents out, then the new Bastion of Remembrance is great! Enchantments are more difficult to interact with than creatures. This makes it a more sticky win-con.

Desecrated Tomb is another fun card in a deck like Shirei. It isn't as strong as Pawn of Ulamog, but it's a little more resilient.

The one thing I worry about when looking at this list is how vulnerable Shirei is. He is your deck's engine so more protection for him might be helpful. You already have Greaves, but you might want one or two more pieces. Cards like Swiftfoot Boots, Imp's Mischief, Champion's Helm, or Kaya's Ghostform are all options.

Likewise, running cards that can still be effective without him (like Nether Traitor, Reassembling Skeleton, or Tenacious Dead) might be useful. Each of those three cards can move in and out of your graveyard with-or-without Shirei. Plus, each of them go infinite with Phyrexian Altar and Pawn of Ulamog/Pitiless Plunderer if you are inclined to want to do that.

Sorry for the double post, but two other cards that I think are a great with Shirei are Thoughtpicker Witch and Yarok's Fenlurker.

Meteor Golem and Blast Zone can help get rid of some tricky enchantments that black has trouble dealing with.

So with Ikoria coming out i've been looking at 2 cards

1. Serrated Scorpion Serrated Scorpion This card is NUTS! Draining the table for 2 every turn and healing yourself at the same time for 1 mana is just sick value. I'm really looking forward to how this card plays.

2. Farfinder Farfinder I like this card, my thinking is that this will replace Liliana's Shade. Its one mana cheaper and has the same benefits at the shade on ETB. I'm pretty sure i don't have any "swamp" cards that the shade can get in my deck other than basics. THe only benefit to shade is the pump she can get which i can honestly say i have never used.

THats about all i see in Ikoria for Shirei, thoughts?
