The Collector’s Cantrips - Storming with Umori

Commander / EDH Aristocrats Artifact BG (Golgari) Budget Storm

This is my take on the commander Umori, the Collector. He is able to reduce the cost of any type of spell, which seems a little underwhelming for 4 mana but if you choose artifacts this means that you can cast any number of colourless artifact spells with CMC of 1 for free. So this is how the deck works: you want to play a ton of 1 or 2 cost artifacts that are able to draw cards and be sacrificed so you can dig deep into your deck until you find Praetor's Counsel or Creeping Renaissance, allowing you to get back all of your artifacts that you've previously sacrificed. Then, you recast them all in 1 turn and win with a card with storm, Aetherflux Reservoir or Golem Foundry. This deck can run out of fuel sometimes so a card like Reprocess or God-Eternal Bontu is amazing since it can sac all your artifacts to find one of your mass recursion spells and get them all back. This deck seems surprisingly effective with my limited playtesting but any suggestions are welcome. I'm planning on getting this deck and I wish it to be the best it can be. I've also decided to give all my removal cards and some lands cycling so that I never have dead cards in hand. We're playing a lot of spells per turn so Recycle or Null Profusion are absolute bombs and can win the game without the need of Mass Recursion. ( Created 16/05/20 )
