Well of Lost Dreams doesn't do enough to generate card advantage. Phyrexian Arena and Necropotence are far more efficient and I would prefer to add Consecrated Sphinx as well.

I would run a bit more removal if I were you. Things like Return to Dust , Hero's Downfall , and Vindicate just gives you a lot more influence over the board. Hell, I think Merciless Eviction might even be worth it.

Thanks for all the suggestions! My playgroup unanimously agreed that Test of Endurance should be banned in EDH. The rest are all great ideas.

@benjamin_is_nuts ...still mixing drinking and playing magic? Hahahaha, yeah, I have no idea what you're saying man. But that's cool.

Sorry for that, I was a bit drunk I think yesterday. Did much weird things like ordering foil Death's-Head Buzzard s because I thought it had a fun name. Magic and drinking is not recommended. Thanks for keeping a nice tone of voice.

@benjamin_is_nuts It's alright, I get that! I'm laughing my ass of though, that's too funny. Let me know if you're looking to trade any of those Death's-Head Buzzard s (just kidding lol).

Boon Reflection + Angelic Accord = why can't i hold all these angels

October 5, 2014 6:19 p.m.

vishnarg says... #11

Boon Reflection is a card with enough potential in this deck for me to consider it. However, Angelic Accord can't do anything without the help of more lifegain cards, and the benefit does not outweigh the costs of making it work properly. Thanks for the suggestions!

That Which Was Taken is far too mana intensive for the benefit it provides, and if it is destroyed after counters have been placed, it was a huge waste of resources. Avacyn, Angel of Hope is preferable here.

Clever Impersonator might be worth testing here.

you should totally have Magister Sphinx because you can flicker it with Deadeye Navigator and bring everyone's life total to 10 and u win basically and unless people get rid of one of these cards you will always have your opponent's life total at 10

Clever Impersonator and Magister Sphinx are all cards I think highly of and want to test and implement into this deck - I just don't own them right now. Thanks for the suggestions!

Nice take on Oloro, feel free to check out Come at me bro control for ideas. I may go back to using more creatures in mine someday and own many of the kinds you have here.

Have u think about using Sublime Archangel and Stonehewer Giant

November 14, 2014 2:22 p.m.

vishnarg says... #20

I actually have, yes. Both are very powerful, particularly Sublime Archangel, I just can't find the room for them in here.

I may be wrong but i think Arid Mesa is illegal since there's no red in your commander's color and also i was wondering what land you were missing and i just found out by looking at my Rafiq of the Many deck, you are missing Cathedral of War

November 14, 2014 9:34 p.m.

KillDatBUG says... #22

To clarify on the question Halfest raised, Arid Mesa is legal to play in just about any EDH deck, since it doesn't contain any mana symbols on the card, in addition to the land itself being colorless.

As for what I could suggest for the deck, Skullclamp? Venser, the Sojourner?

November 15, 2014 1:57 a.m.

vishnarg says... #23

As KillthatBUG stated, Arid Mesa is legal since it does not produce red mana directly.

I have been considering cards like Skullclamp and Venser, the Sojourner. I haven't had much time to playtest this one yet, so I'm not sure what to take out for them, or if they really as well as some other cards do. Thanks very much for the suggestions.

Containment Priest,Steel of the Godhead, Worldly Tutor. Also why is Elixir of Immortality in here? How did I get here? I've never commented on a rafiq deck before....

November 15, 2014 2:37 p.m.

vishnarg says... #25

Elixir helps recur everything I've played until that point, and the life gain is extremely useful. There are certain combos that can be pieced together using it as well.

What kind of decks and cards would Containment Priest help shut down? Steel of the Godhead is very good but if the creature is blown up 2 for 1's me, which is bad. I felt like Wargate and Chord of Calling were better for this deck than Worldly Tutor, but I'll consider it.
