Seems like I don't really need a Containment Priest for the time being. My play group doesn't really have much of that.

I find the fetch lands with only one colour to fetch curious. You have some dual lands you can fetch, which, if you want to use them immediately, will cost you 3 life which is bearable, but still quite expensive. Especially since I can't imagine you having issues with your colours in the first place. I would probably go for Basic Lands in their sted.
You might also want to consider Tooth and Nail. You have at least a few creatures worthy of this card and the ramp to get to 9 mana should Rafiq of the Many fail to deliver, which is unlikely, I guess.

have you given thought to Primal Command? From experience it is very versatile and shines in edh
November 16, 2014 4:35 p.m.
I forgot about Primal Command; that will immediately replace Elixir of Immortality.
Tooth and Nail is also one of the best cards in EDH, which I forgot about as well. I will add it, but I'm not sure what to take out.
Thank you very much for the suggestions!

I would add Thassa and a slew of other cards to make rafiq unblockable and the some instant speed green pumps for one shot kills

@Rbyron, this is not intended to be a hyper aggressive deck. It is supposed to make one or two turn kills, but its primary function is defense. Cards like Thassa, God of the Sea are not as overall versatile or useful as other creatures and planeswalkers in this deck that perform similar functions. I don't want to add cards into this deck solely for their interaction with my commander (with the exception of Shield of the Oversoul); things added to this deck need to have a good interaction with everything else in the deck, and instant speed green pumps do not fit that category.

Have you considered Medomai the Ageless? Extra turns are extremely powerful in any deck but especially in Voltron. Also, Cataclysm might be a good choice for board wipe.

Sublime Archangel has already been considered for this deck and remains in the maybeboard.
The reason Sublime Archangel remains in the sideboard is that this is not a very creature heavy deck, and only requires 2-3 creatures in play, in addition to a few equipments and auras, to kill effectively. Archangel really only gives a marginal bonus to the decks firepower, and I would sooner run voltron type cards such as Steel of the Godhead.

Omniscience and Qasali Pridemage and maybe Voice of Resurgence or Geist of Saint Traft

With regards to the Containment Priest suggestion; Does your play group have Deadeye Navigator?
December 5, 2014 1:54 p.m.
@klone13, I'm not sure those are the best fits for this deck - they fit better in Duel Commander/French.
@MindAblaze!, I use Deadeye Navigator in this deck actually. Nobody else in my playgroup does. I plan on adding the Palinchron/Blue Sun's Zenith combo, too. Containment Priest is something I try to get rid of, actually.

your deck looks very similar to mine- i also run a lot of good stuff. Check it out for details and feel free to comment with suggestions or questions about what I run!

@rockleemyhero, that deck looks great, I'll definitely refer to it in the future. Thanks!

How has crystal shard been working for you? That seems really legit and makes me want to try and squeeze it in my deck too

@rockleemyhero, Again I haven't had much time to test this deck, but on paper it looks amazing. It forces opponents to leave a mana open or else face big disruption, it saves anything from any form of removal for just one mana, and can re-trigger effects like Eternal Witness, Sun Titan, Palinchron, etc.

Not sure if you've considered this already, but Survival of the Fittest seems incredibly busted in this sort of shell- Especially with the amount of recursion you're using.

KillthatBUG, I actually forgot about that. It does seem incredibly powerful. I suppose that could replace Wordly Tutor

Whatever happened to Invincible Hymn? In commander, this card is insane and legal!

An exalted deck without Sublime Archangel... that's confusing...
March 10, 2015 6:21 p.m.
This deck isn't thoroughly devoted to the Exalted ability. I don't want to flood the board with creatures because board wipes are everywhere, and the only time Sublime Archangel is good is when I control at least 3 other creatures.

vishnarg the reason everyone is suggesting it is because it's worth it man... it can easily win games on its own.

Containment Priest shuts down AEther Vial, Show and Tell, Sneak Attack, Kaalia of the Vast, Through the Breach, Quicksilver Amulet, Reanimateor,Braids, Conjurer Adept.... it kindof depends on your meta though.
