This deck is all about counters as such Corpsejack Menace is going to be quite reliable, however having him out before the other creatures isn't essential as
Scute Mob
, Primordial Hydra and Kalonian Hydra can make use of him later on.
Mistcutter Hydra is my 2nd favorite card in this deck (behind Corpsejack) with his ability to be dropped without having to worry about him being countered is a blessing. He's great for early drops on slower decks or ones with little focus on creatures like 8-Rack as most wouldn't see him as a threat at first glance but with haste he's nothing to scuff at simply have him buffed for 3 and he can lay in some quick hurt.
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord is going to save your ass in a lot of situations his sacrifice ability is just to good against people running Ensnaring Bridge he can really sway the game in your favor.
Kalonian Hydra gets 4 counters on his drop and doubles them for when he attacks so he can also make do without Corpsejack Menace though having them out together is of course recommended.
