"Darkness Falls" sounds somewhat like we intend to lose, no? Maybe "Dark Rising" or "It's Always Darkness Right Before Sunrise" if you're not into the whole brevity thing?

My email is [email protected] - I'm good with either method of comms but e-mail is preferred because my phone alerts me immediately on those vs having to check the site periodically. I check the site periodically most of the time anyway but sometimes I get distracted by real life junk.

I guess a more accurate name for my idea would be Darkness Descends or something similar to that, but I'd be fine with anything.
I'd like everyone to email me with an email they're OK with me sending the packs to, and we can do our bulk of discussion there. I think it'll be more efficient, which we depserately need, as we only have 24 hours per pick. You can send this email to [email protected]

On another note, there is an observer group that can see everyone's pick. I don't think this will be an issue, but please do not create a proxy account in order to gain privy to this group and the secrets within. The point of the DDD is learning, not cheating and winning.

If anyone needs to miss a pick or two for any reason, don't sweat it. I don't expect you to keep me updated on your life, but a heads up would be nice so I'm not waiting for your input.

One more thing. I'll be on vacation 20-25 of July, which means one of you will have to step in for me during this time to receive the packs from Caley, post them, and report back to Caley with our groups' consensus. I want to discourage constantly agreeing with my picks just to be the one who takes over for this time period. If you disagree with anyone, lay into them a little and let them know why your pick is better. Just don't be rude. Again, this is a learning process. Don't just post your pick and check out. We want everyone supporting themselves.
I'll be picking the person as it gets closer to the time of my vacation. Hopefully this goes smoothly. That's about all I have to say until I get the packs and post them. I should have each pack sent to you shortly after 12am PT each day, starting on Monday. Expect an email from me soon, once everyone in the group has checked in to this page and sent me an email. Until then.

@KrazyCaley- Will do.Group, even though this deck is private, tagging cards will make the deck show up on the main page. Please avoid tagging cards in the comment section. I will post each new pack in the maybeboard so we can still read the cards, but when talking about cards in the comment section, stay away from those brackets. Thanks.

I prefer the wall format for these discussions over email, but can accommodate either. Just seems to me the threads will be long and replies will not always capture all the comments. Voting especially would be tough.

For team names, I am don't feel the need for consensus, so our captain can make the final call IMO. That being said, I prefer a name of reasonable length. I like the dark theme to the name.

@Agog- Dont sweat it. I expect most people will end up going AWOL at some point or another.

@landgrafb - Ha! The private setting on decks is imperfect, so others can still seee our mana circle, even if they cant see specific cards. Because of this, I've added a ridiculously large number of cards in each color so that no matter what we pick, no one can tell which colors we end up running. Just a little extra security.

@Everyone: Has everyone played the Elder Scrolls series...? Dare I suggest... The Dark Brotherhood??
Due to general consensus, we'll be doing the bulk of our discussion on this page. I'll post the pack as soon as I get it from Caley, which works out nicely since we're in the same time zone. All you have to do is check in a couple times a day. Again, the sideboard will be the current pack we're discussing, and the mainboard will be our picks. This will commence tonight at midnightish (US Pacific Time).

I like the new team name. I wish I was good at photoshop because I would put our team name over the Assassin's Creed logo.

I like the leader getting an extra half vote. Keeps potential standoffs away.

RE voting. I've been thinking a lot about that. And while ultimately I do have the final say, I wont be abusing that power. This is a learning process, so even if I disagree with the majority of the group, I'll go with the consensus. Having 1.5 votes as a general rule works fine, to break ties, but I still reserve the right to make final decisions. I am the one who still has to play the deck in the end. I wont go full-autocrat though. Worry not. Have faith.

I personally like Advent of the Wurm or Carnage Gladiator. Seem like the best picks in the pack.

Hello everyone, finally got back from visiting family for midsummer's eve and got a chance to sign in.
I agree that Advent of the Wurm or Carnage Gladiator are obvious first choices. Advent is such a powerful rare that I wouldn't mind going selesnya from the get go. Other possibility is to take the druid and try to move in on Gruuldos (or whatever gruul+rakdos is atm.) cheap aggro.
Passing advent though is a tough proposition.

This is actually a trickier pick than I first thought, but I think the choice still has to be [Advent of the Wurm]. An extra 1 power and 3 toughness (over the Gladiator) for the same cost, at instant speed, with Trample. Can't deny that power.

On a side note, I think the Gladiator would have been the tits in Caley's last DDD deck.
